Really like this scheme for contracted players.  Just means players will not hesitate to give their all before IPL. BCCI insurance compensates for amount of matches missed upto entire season, if a player is injured on national duty

Fair play to the BCCI. They tend to stick up for their players and will bring more commitment and professionalism from the players themselves through such acts.

Please can you offer some compensation to poor Hanuma Vihari. Only player in the national squad who will not be playing in IPL. Helped us draw the Sydney tests playing through pain and possibly aggravating his injury but has ben out of sight ever since then. Maybe put in a word with ECB to get him a country cricket stint please
