India's huge spin bowling problem in T20s

Chakarvarty should be the only specialist spinner while Jadeja and washington can do the container job.

Yuzi Chahl is garbage now and we don't need Kuldeep as well.

I would rather trust in Bumrah/Bhuvi/Natrajan/Pandya to restrict the opposition to sub par score and go ballistic with our superstar batting.

These rankings reflect the number of T20I games played - And I'd rather have a Varun or a Chahal ahead of the likes of Sodhi, or an Adil Rashid.

So pace bowlers from same team didn't bowl in those matches? Face it, spin bowlers are being used as genuine wicket takers in all teams and making huge impact

wtf are you talking about

The fact that pace bowlers from  those teams played equal matches (and all teams on top, SA, NZ, AUS and ENG have great pace bowlers) yet the rankings have spin bowlers on top

And the fact that all teams are using spin bowlers as genuine wicket taking options to turn matches

You said the rankings are only because of the number of games played. If that was true, pace bowlers should have featured as much as spin bowlers in those rankings. Spin bowlers dominating across shows there is a trend in spin dominating in t20s

Look we don't have spinners like Hasaranga or Rashid Khan..  Sodhi gets bounce due to his height & has killer googly.  Shamsi is mediocre but he is Chinaman..  Quite faster than Kuldeep.

I still feel Rahul Chahar & Bishnoi must be given a go.  Punjab seriously f*** up by benching a talent like Bishnoi

I will never understand why people prefer arguing against strawmen.

You  clearly don't understand what strawman means. Adressing and replying to your specific point about more matches = better ranks is the opposite of strawman

Just agree you didn't think your initial point well enough and move on

I am currently teaching my 5 year old to improve her reading and comprehension, clearly its a problem that's quite widespread.

Take a look at what's common for the top T20 bowlers

Screenshot-2021-03-24-at-17.36.32-2048x1

Top 8 and 9 out of 10 are spinners. Indian dont have a single spinner in top 10. This might be the fact that ends up costing us the T20 world cup in the end

Every time we went with a more epac oriented attack we always win in LOI.

Pandya at 6

Jadeja at 7 container job

Shardul at 8

Bhuvi at 9

Bumrah at 10

Shami or nattu at 11

We never lose with this lineup. Can swap nattu for Sundar if needed for odi. If Bhuvi is not available then have have Shankar. As average as he is, Shankar still gives stability.

Shaedul, Bhuvi is key for stability.

Day night odi matches won't favour spinners in India period. We never saw England bowl in night in odi because chutiya never won the *ing tosses.

Exactly , specially with dew. Everyone thinks grass is greener on other side, when dew created problem for ash-jaddu in 2016 Wc all of them thought kulcha wud have done better only to reliaze even they struggled. Then Rahul chahar struggled with it recently. For spinners its very hard to ball with a wet ball.

Ppl here dont consider factors like dew, small ground or anything. They just want them to perform every game which is impossible specially when rules are so against them. If they get tonked around for few games they ll want someone new and then the cycle repeats itself. With such patience they wud have declared warne a looser with few beatings
