Against England in England during the first test of the 2007 Series. Dhoni batting with 9 wickets down and suddenly rain started pouring to wash out the last session.

India escaped with a draw there.

India wouldn't have won their last series in England if not for rain, it was in 2007.

You can't say that for sure, India were way ahead in the third test. I think there was some rain there as well.

It was rain I Clearly remember.

Monty has a loud LBW shout against Sreesanth that Bucknor denied and after a few balls later rain arrives to save India.

This left Dhoni with the task of rear guard which was to protect the tail from the English attack. The next 3 wickets fell within 8 overs leaving India on 263/9. With light deteriorating Vaughan and Panesar bowled the final 7 overs of the match. Sreesanth survived a strong lbw appeal from Panesar before bad light forced tea to be taken early. Rain meant that there was no evening session and the Test ended in a draw. Pietersen was awarded man of the match for his (134) century.

The last Test was a draw after all. Don't think England would have allowed India to win the series after going 1-0 up. 1-1 Maximum, India would have got there.

Well if we count umpiring blunders, or the number of times India could've led a series away, I'm sure we'd be close to the best ever test sides in the world. So ifs & buts - you know what loud mouth Sidhu used to say about that :bandit:

So that Draw against England is the only instance we can remember where rain saved India which is like 14 years ago.

And the number of times rain has hurt India,  it has happened twice in last couple of  months. First during the WTC finals, it didn't rain enough to save India and today rain ruined what could have been a solid chance for the Indian team to get a decisive victory in the first test
