Not only would it solve nothing, it would also potentially be a career ender.  I can’t see today’s BCCI accepting such behaviour from a player, however wronged that player may have been.  
 

It must be highly demotivating, but Ashwin’s best course of action would be to just suck it up.  

Exactly , kumble also sat out for bhajji. 

He went n did whatever he cud - played county took wkts , improved his batting, worked on his bowling issues overseas, performed in australia. He cant do more, so he shud just take it in his stride.

Its his demeanor tht keeps him way ahead if someone like bhajji , hope he always maintains it

Completely disagree with the premise of this thread.  This is not corporate, where if your manager pisses you off, you quit and join another company.  He is representing a sports team and, from all accounts, is completely loyal to the team.  He may be frustrated, upset and even angry, and may have communicated his opinion in private to the TM.  But, in the end, he should be (and seems to be) a good team person and not wash dirty laundry in public - as long there is no hush-hush crap going on, as long as the reasoning was communicated clearly with him and his value to the team was emphasized, he should internalize it.

 

He has shown the maturity to take it on the chin and be ready for whenever he is asked to play again.  Being hot-headed and walking away from his team-mates is not the way to do it.  For all we know, there have been times in his career where he was out of form and playing badly but was picked ahead of someone else.
