Too many of these happening with this guy. Coincidence or not, he is missing in many key battles abroad. Given his impressive form in England last year, I was hoping he would be the batsman the team would bat around. But he has disappointed yet again.

The notion of batting around him in Eng (even at his best he is likely to score 30s-40s), itself spells trouble!

Missed 2 games vs australia when pitches were juicy. Played only on pattas after. 

Missed s.africa series citing injury. In 

 

truth it was due to captaincy issue as he dint want to play under rat. 

Missed new zeland test series too on purpose when he was actually in form citing an injury.
