Should Kohli and Rohit be banned if the 5th test is deemed forfeited by ICC?

Current status is that the series is undecided. Both ECB v BCCI are doing their respective duties.

The situation arose because some Indian players refused to play citing COVID concerns (discussed on a different thread).

If the 5th test is either forfeited (or even rescheduled if we want to go there too), should BCCI ban Kohli and Rohit, the two key instigators in tests? BCCI cannot be a toothless organization, trying to sweep matters under the carpet for the players.

Someone reported this thread to moderators.  I don't want to violate their privacy, but just a word of advice.  When you find a silly foolishly transparent attempt at trolling, its better to handle it with humor and put it in its place by ridiculing the "logic", instead of censoring it.

Censorship is the nuclear option, and only the last resort for egregious trash.

Just my 2 cents.

Even if it is true that those 2 were the instigators then the entire team should be banned for either  not having a spine or being in cahoots with these guys.

Ban the entire squad and hit the reboot.

ICF would love this team and I am sure there are readily available players as below who fit the  criteria

1.U-19 opener 1 who can keep

2.Top scorer in a couple of games last season with the highest strike rate including a couple of flashy 6’s

3. U-23 batsman who had a good start to his domestic career

4.u-19 middle order bat

5. Leg side 360 degree modern player

6.an “allrounder” who can bowl 135+ and hit a couple of big 6’s maybe not in the same match

7. A leg spin bowler who spins the ball like Warne and bats like Symonds

8.bowler 1 who has recorded a couple of balls over 145k

9. bowler 2 (see bowler 1)

10.bowler 3 (see bowler 1 and 2)

11. An off spinner who can spin the ball like Murali

This won't be forfeited.  It will be cancelled. Teams have more latitude with covid around. They just have to technically establish they had a reason to cancel the series.

4-5 support staff isolated is big enough reason. England ran away from SA even when they had no cases in their contingent.

Downside of this precedence is , teams can literally leave the tour half way through based on one case. Nobody can stop them or force them. If the teams don't follow basic protocols and catch covid anywhere entire series can be called off now that tow teams have done it.  IPL called off half way through. There is no telling whether this IPL won't be impacted by covid given the lax behavior of players.  May be they should stop playing cricket until covid is over or enforce strict lockdowns during a series.

BCCI has taken a decision and they will see they will see the end  with all its might. Every aspect like finance, IPL, test points , series would have been thought of and best decision taken.

Some here are talking as if there was only one result possible and that was India winning . With this brittle indian MO india could have lost the match also.

There guys making it as if  handful of these guys are more impacted than the team itself about  the game and result of series.

Do not understand the Agenda behind creating a new thread every day on the same subject . If it was a genuine debate one thread would have be enough.

Better not not comment on these threads any more .
