In my book: Wokeness = Alignment to Meaningless gestures/behaviors/thoughts to align with dominant train of thought in MSM.

Example 1: Not Kneeling to that silly BLM gesture is racist.

Example 2:- Criticizing Diwali but keeping quiet on pollution due to other means.

Supporting Shami comes under Wokeness?

The main thing is abusing player on religious grounds. That is wrong at the basic level.

Wokeness is doing something silly to indicate that message.  Some silly gesture. And then abusing people who do not follow that gesture as Communal.

Yes supporting Shami for what. Comments by Pakistani handles ? It’s established done and dusted.  Nobody could actually highlight specific tweets which were problematic.

I don't understand.. Do you support Kohli's statement regarding Shami or not? Simple question

No but not saying a word against his fellow cricketer Waqar Younis for his bigoted comments is shameful.

If Rizwan can defend Shami in twitter, why cant Kohli do the same and call out Waqar?

This one sided nature is the issue

No.

He got overboard.

The most pathetic thing a human being can do is killing. Not abusing based on religion.  But it is still wrong.

Man FFS it was not done and dusted. To start with , the abuse was in Instagram, not in twitter. The OPindia article writer just doesn't understand sarcasm. There were couple of pakistani handles that sarcastically posted that Shami is working for ISI. Anyone who is not a boomer can clearly understand that it was sarcams.

There were ALSO Indian accounts who were abusing Shami.

Has it been proved that all these accounts are from Pakistan?

Your Tambi by any chance ?

Unlike you, I am not a hatemonger. I obviously condemn this statement.

Oh yes. Comparison of crime is very important. There is petty, minor and major. That is foundation of any civilized society.

Language hyperbole is not the issue here. If someone says "Rape is the most disgusting crime", one has to agree instead of saying " there are more disgusting crimes". Maybe it is true, but what does this acheive in this discussion.

Ok if you remove the word "most" from the language, do you agree with Kohli it is pathetic?

Don't even need Pakistani ,there are enough Hindu haters in this country  ,don't they abuse hindus all day and the likes of sehwag, gambhir .But here virat immediately took the bait like a good traitor.
Yes in a country of 1.4 billion simpu, bintu and jintu wrote something offensive on twitter. What is the excuse Muslims use when something is blown up? There is a billion of us? We're not all like this?

Ok same thing here.

Look at how the legends of Pakistan OPENLY behave brining up religion like some Lebanese Muslims cares about cricket.
