Lone Wolf Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Nothing explains the amount of Choking & how mentally weak our players are. Have they gone too soft? They crumble with even a hint of pressure. About time BCCI does something about it.... Or we will keep suffering in world events.
helperononline Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Gary Kirsten. Dhoni - cool combo. Kohli ravi Shastri - aggressive combo We need to find a cool head coach and captain atleast one of them have to go
zen Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 1. Don't expect the Indian team to win every game and every tournament (no it is not the old WIs or Aus of 2000s) ... if fans do, they need to go to psychologists as well 2. Allow young players to fail so that they learn from experience 3. If certain players have played tons of WCs and show a trend of cracking in high pressure games, look past them. Don't assume that performances in bilaterals will translate into world cups 4. Pick and develop cricketers with clutch qualities - SDP (Hardik), Pant, etc. 5. At the end of the day, sports is followed and watched for fun. If fans are grumpy that India lost, they have only themselves to blame for not enjoying the game. There are 11 other teams. The world moves on. Lone Wolf 1

You are being blindsided by your perceptions of watching old fashioned cricket for too long. They are clutch players if you watched them across various formats and IPL Vijy 1
cricketfan28 Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Don't think they will make a difference.
Vijy Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 what team needs is complete overhaul of selectors, TM, coach, and especially Rat Frustrated 1
vayuu1 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 More than psychologist, they need to shed the outdated template of being conservative Since 2012,we havent been brave enough,u have been troubled by spin and left arm pace for eternity in t20 nothing has been done to address that,t20 isnt all about aggressive shot making its also about aggressive running, people call it fearless cricket ,i wont call that, coz then it means other team is playing fearful cricket,i'd call it carefree cricket, but there is thin line between care free and careless abd iam afraid we have been often guilty of later, off course there is a small case of wrong selections as well ,rohit is good yes ,virat yes,but do u see them in long term plans, same with ash, shami, bhuvi and jaddu, you have one year for next worldcup, but considering u select newbies will they settle in immediatly into team, couldnt they have been given more chances, these questions have to be answered
vayuu1 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Other thing is setup.needs players like raina, pathan,rp,agarkar, zak, yuvi, bhajji, Gauti as they know the necessities of t20 and the fast pace of odis, include them as well ,identify talent ,keep them with team, scouts need to keep watch on not just domestics but also small local tourneys as well
