coffee_rules Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Both Eng vs SL and SA vs Eng games, team batting first , started slowly and hit their way in the end, the old fashioned ODI way. The same was tried by India, but they lost TO and MO wickets in a heap and late MO was useless to recover. India wins when TO performs. We need a good consistent #4,#5 and #6 that can finish well. TO can’t save our asses all the time.

Exactly we have Pant who mistimes a lot and is not in flow ATM, Pandya who is struggling with fitness and anyway is a minnow bowling basher and Jadeja the fraud All-rounder who is not suited for batting in t20s. coffee_rules 1
rollingstoned Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 if the tournament was held in India like it was supposed to be i wonder how things would have turned out. We may not have won but i would have expected our batting to perform better for sure. The spinners haven't been as effective in the uae as we hoped they would be, bigger grounds don't compensate for the fact that there isn't much grip and turn and bowling second is even tougher than it would be in India this time of the year imo.

Eng vs sl was one of the slowest wickets. sa vs eng the slow start cost them a place in last 4 How can MO learn when TO keeps playing for 15+ overs in every bi lateral? Our TO was busy stats padding in bilaterals and MO didn't get any practice. Management never tried to shuffle things. Now blaming MO without giving them hen experience or match time is being disingenuous

Our MO is not accustomed to failed beginnings and chose to further block and perish eventually
