The selectors are as fickle as ICF, for whom Chahar was the savior not long ago and is a pariah now. Played a grand total of one match, got jettisoned for collar chewer. Of course, he was in crappy form during the IPL and didn't look like he would do anything special, but any spinner needs solid backing for 8-10 games to deliver results. Today it's Chahar, tomorrow it will be some other spinner. They will continue to be expendables while batsmen get free pass despite years of mediocrity. Our selection process is fundamentally flawed.

With IPL you can declare any participating player as "Indian", especially the Ambani ones since they named their team in that way.
