Navdeep Saini turns 29 today.

Firstly, a very happy birthday to the pace sensation.

Today, he turns 29 year old. Unless he really cranks it up and shows promise, I don't see the need to persist with him and make the current crop of young fast bowler wait in the wings and get wasted.

What is your opinion?

He has nice action and pace , I expected a lot from him two years ago, but has not shown much. He could have played more regularly had Kohli encouraged him and persisted with him . To me he was the most promising new Indian pace bowlers couple of years ago.

He was bowling rockets 150 in T20s in WI. I remember he cleaned up Hetymer and Pooran with sheer pace. 

 

But then the decline begin with injuries and he was reduced to around 140ish bowler with no seam and swing which is cannon fodder for International bowlers.

 

His time came and gone too quickly.

I think he still has more to offer.

Ya he was 25 then and was in prime form. But selectors were happy playing Ishant and Shami in useless test matches against bd, afg and wi.
