Jay Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Best s.african side under smith of 2011 drew with weak old decrepit india at home. 6 months before they got flatlined by England 4 0 and Aussies 4 0. Waah waah.

We lost just 6 months after s.africa series to England 4 0

Maybe WC win also played a role in our downfall

We lost just 6 months after s.africa series to England 4 0 Between 2007-11, Zaheer was at peak of his career and so were all our batsman. After 2011 World Cup, perhaps things changed, players were well past prime and also the lack of motivation to win away test matches after winning the World Cup.

Remember right now our batting is also past it. We have been number 1 for 5 years. Almost 6 now. Our bowling Is gun but in this game we had a Man down. All I am saying is current s Africa is a young exciting team with insane potential. Some of these guys will be future stars. So don't be surprised if they can beat top sides at home. Sure we will massacre them at our home but they will compete well in their conditions and possibly beat top sides too.

Amla and abd took over. Smith declined etc post 2012.

They beat one of the greatest England sides in their backyard in last 50 years in 2012. The same England side had beaten India in India in same year.

Bowling was a joke.

But that England side were going pretty strong between 2009-12 and South Africa beat them in their backyard quite convincingly in 2012. Jay 1
