This is how its been done. So even "prestigious" journals are of no use when doctors "writing" these articles are bought by big pharma @Jimmy Cliff@nevada. I'll do a separate post on how statistics lie

The amount of medical corruption among Indian doctors, both in india and abroad is unparalleled.

This is NOT the pharma oriented corruption I am talking about.

It's the petty corruption of over prescription, over testing and inflation of medical bills.

Some hospitals in India pay a percentage of in patient bill as a kick back to the doctor.

Lot of doctors and hospitals got rich due to this pandemic. Their black money is fuelling the real estate boom in some of  indian cities.

What a state this country has come to.

This video was talking about US doctors but yeah Indian doctors are well known for indulging in these shady activities. Only difference is in India, the medical industry is loosely controlled and thereby allows everyone in the industry to indulge in corruption. In USA and other western countries, its tightly controlled and the corruption is at the top and big pharma rules the roost. Many doctors in US are basically slaves to pharma agents not only in their day to day operations but also medical writeups in journals. There are plenty of good doctors in US and India but they can't go against these big guys.

This is sensationalism. Doctors have to declare if they have any affiliation with any drug company. If they lie they get in trouble. Not very difficult.

Not so. What makes you think so. The person who is exposing this is a doctor. What you said is great in principle but doesn't happen. There are plenty of cracks in the industry and corrupt people exploit it.

First of all nobody is going to make a case against the doctor as none of us are medically trained. Only a doctor can call another doctor out. Most doctors don't want to rock the boat

You know very little about how this profession works. Does corruption happen. Most likely. But in western countries it catches up with you.
