It remains a mystery that almost every time our cricketers keep getting infected inside the Bio Bubble.  But opposition players never get infected.  On SL tour, none of the Lankan players tested positive.    Same thing here as well.   None of Windies players hv tested positive.

WI ones are straight from Eng series bubble...  I don't think Indian players take rules too seriously.

Dhawan Ruturaj Shreyas Iyer are confirmed...  Rutu unlucky if he was fit debut was there for the taking.

Now Kishan & Venky Iyer are added to the squad.  Shahrukh was also backup so let's see what kind of playing XI plays.

Kishan has to open with Rahul out of 1st ODI.

It's high time bcci starts investigation into what our overpaid cricketers do inside the Bio Bubble.   It's becoming a repeat offence.

They tested positive before they joined the bubble. They were not in bubble when they got tested. Tested before joining the team.

No Indian player was tested positive in South Africa. With omicron spreading fast in India, every one is getting infected. It's unstoppable. Players were not in bubble and testing were done before entering the bubble. WI landed today only. Indians were tested 3 days in a raw from 31st. This series will be full of Covid positives as India is hotbed at this point.

They are playing behind closed doors in Ahmedabad.  T20Is are in Eden with crowds allowed.  Hopefully better sense prevails.

We should be able to hold a bilateral series at least.

IPL should be shifted outside India.

By the time, IPL starts, things will be better. Third wave will most probably be over by then.

SKY

Shardul

Deepak

4 pacers will be the way to go for me as there is no Axar Patel in the squad.

good team. wish ro-ko were phased out, but it won't happen. tuktuk version of KLR will be around too.

Exactly my side and the spinner should be Bishnoi.

Sundar is a variable though. Think he will need time to get into the right groove at no.5. Might end up playing some match losing knocks too at that position but if it fits well it is great.

Problem is that you can't play Sundar at 5 as long as you have a top 4 of Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli and Rahul.

It is saddening but there has been no learning, no change in flavour for Indian ODI cricket since 2019 World Cup. Now, perhaps the time is over to try Sundar in 2022 at the middle order position because to have Sundar, you need an aggressive bat( Kishan or Shaw) at the top rather than Dhawan and that won't change now.

in a nutshell, nothing will change. rohit, dhawan, and kohli could even play 2027 WC in theory
