Greatest pace bowler ever possible being most versatile and gifted but not still as intelligent as likes of Mcgrath,Marshall or even Botham in my view,in bowling strategy.

Im so envious of NZ, given how insignificant Cricket is in NZ and how few follow and play the game and their very very small population.

Thing with Kiwis is many south Africans and Aussies migrate to new zelaand which helps strengthen their domestic cricket. Heaps of saffers.

Cowie, Hadlee, Bond: my three all-time picks for their pacers. the rest were excellent, but not ATGs IMO.

What's so great about bowling 6 different balls in an over? What are those six balls? Inswing, outswing, Yorker, bouncer, leg cutter, off cutter?

Bowlers are not getting even one variation right nowadays and you don't think it is special? As if you think of a leg cutter and abracadabra, you get a leg cutter. You still have to do it.

Bowling variations isn't that big of a deal, it's how the batters play it these days! When was the last time you saw someone play a reverse sweep to Akram? No, well there you have it variations don't matter that much as the actual batting response.

no doubt a great talent, but premature to call him the most intelligent even just in Pakistan - Imran Khan was even better at his peak and was also a fast-medium swing bowler (had a 20.5 avg for a period of 12 yrs or so). Asif didn't play enough tests in various conditions to be judged fully against someone like Immi.

clearly, you must not have seen all the major pacers from  your own country to think asif is the most intelligent of them.  people like imran also worked out batters in the same way
