Today he started slowly almost like Dhoni. Not a complaint. That is the right approach. He has the ability to catch up. India cannot try to ape England's all out approach. They can do because their no.10 batsman can strike a few blows. India's batting stops at 6. I don't consider Jaddu as a finisher. He is going to be a support cast member for the rest of his career. It’s going to take time for him to be even better. Kohli and shastri dented his confidence. They should have allowed him the way he wants to play. Pant was able come out of it because he is mentally strong Edited July 17, 2022 by gattaca rollingstoned and Vijy 1 1

Lot of times Pant will be running out of partners even to hold end. He will end up playing some silly shots and get out. Atleast two bowlers should have decent batting ability. Frustrated 1

We need deepak chahar definitely and may be shardul. Frustrated 1

Atleast 3 of them are best only 50% of the time. Not all the time. Only Bumrah is trustworthy in most of the matches. Prasidh has a great record against West Indies. But not so much against England. Siraj also did well against Windies. But failed inthe sole match against Australia/England. These are test match bowlers. Not LOI bowlers. After sometime batsmen will get used to it.

Majestic Posted July 17, 2022 Author Posted July 17, 2022 Well done, Rishabh Pant! Looks like creating a thread worked pretty well for him. Amazing knock! However, this knock proves that Rishabh needs to maintain the balance and solidity while playing his shots in LOIs and play his shots late and rely on timing rather than going hard on it. If he goes hard on the bowling, he will find things bit tougher for him. He too like Rohit Sharma needs to give himself some time on crease rather than playing his shots straightaway. sarchasm 1
Throwaib_Chuckter Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 A chase masterclass that reminded me of several chases of recent vintage which were piloted by stalwarts (Dhoni, Kohli, Raina, Yuvraj etc). Pant took full toll of that Butler stuff-up and methodically chipped away at the target. Well played Pant and Hardik. Chuckte Raho TC Vijy 1
