By the way, I have discussed Abdullah several times. His spin play is inferior to his game against pace. He actually has one of the organised techniques against pace in the world right now.

Based on what? How can anyone come to that conclusion without actually seeing them bat in pace friendly conditions? On subcontinent wickets even Shreyas Iyer will deal with pace as if he's Ricky Ponting. Doesn't mean he's "organised" against pace does it? Clarke 1

Very pace friendly pitches.

Lmao... kuch bhi Go and watch the Australian series and watch how a top class pace attacks was reduced to throw down specialists. Even the edges were falling 6 feet short of the slip fielders and short of a good length balls were going gun barrel straight below the waist height. Pace friendly
Lone Wolf Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Gone lassan... Adhamasena's stupid umpiring couldn't save him this time.
Clarke Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 (edited) Can SL bat 3-4 sessions ? Dick is already fishing outside off Edited July 26, 2022 by Clarke Frustrated 1
Norman Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Sri Lanka in an uber commanding situation here. Let's see if they can make it count this time.
Norman Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Lankans shitting the bed and throwing away clear advantage once again. Once again all depends on Chandimal.
rollingstoned Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Never get why hotspot is a part or drs only for Aussie series, teams should insist on it at all times. Believe Matthews was hard Done by there.

Norman Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 256/4 now.. No way there getting anywhere close to 400. Pak may need to chase 340 again.
Austin 3:!6 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 This garbage SL team will lose again from comfortable position. Its all written in stars - Pakistan is going and winning the test championship 2023 Question is - who will they face in finals?
Swag Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 SL throwing away their wickets carelessly. Another victory incoming for Pak.
Norman Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 I think teams are becoming way too complacent after getting a sizeable first innings lead. This is what India too did in that 5th test. Getting out to casual shots thinking they already have "enough". Sri Lanka doing the same here. Clarke 1

Norman Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Sri Lanka 314/5. Should take it as close as possible to 400.
Frustrated Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 My assessment is that this pitch has more turn on offer compared to the previous test. Poyz might still win this test, but as things stand now, it's SL's game to lose.
Number Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Sri Lankan spinners are seemed very slow through the air in the 4th innings last test and they lack a natural loop as well. Unless pitch starts turning square, they are not winning this.
Clarke Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 Higher CO2 emissions are ruining test cricket by binding the pitch together ABDfan 1
Lone Wolf Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 They should declare after lunch maybe 4-5 overs more... With rain forecast as well.. 460-470 will be more than enough.
