jf1gp_1 Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Didn't think this day would come but it has and today i am more invested in women game. What about you ? beetle and AuxiliA 1 1
AuxiliA Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Me too. Not surprisingly. A Gold medal match in a multi- national event is million times more interesting than a dead rubber bilateral. jf1gp_1, beetle, Lord and 2 others 5
rageaddict Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Also watching the India Australia match. There's more on stake for the grabs.
flamy Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I was so gutted, still am. We had the match, dammit!
Frustrated Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Reality Check :. Our women' team is much bigger choker than Men' team any day. No one can forget what happened against Aus last Sunday. And what happened in 2017 Women' WC final against Eng. Men's team does not get to play CWG. Otherwise they would be also winning a few bronze or silver medals, if not Gold.

India did beat Eng in the semis and gave tough time to Aus in both matches. That's a good result for this team. A required rate of 8 in women's cricket is like a 12 in mens. Women lack big hitting ability especially against good bowlers. Even Australia struggled to hit us at death. India lost because it got a bad start and couldn't capitalize the powerplay like the Aus did. It was only Harman's freak innings which kept India in the game, if not it would have been an easy win for Aus. Tattieboy and kirkutfan 2
Tattieboy Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Indian did great in the final unfortunately as a team Australia were too strong . At vital stages they win those duals because of the number of genuine all rounders in the team , not because top 3 are better or because their opening bowlers are better but because they have a very good no4 , first change bowler and no6,7,8 are all all-rounders which other teams can't compete with . Looking forward to going to see this Indian in England in sept and watching the women in a few hundred games next week . .....Chokers in women's cricket is a word used by people who have no reality of the situation or abilities at present in the women's game
