As of now he is just playing t20 and performing , what are u even crying about now

Well ideally at number 8 in tests having him would have been nice. He can bat in tests too. 8 or even 9.

Prime bhuvi bumrah/shami ishant would have been a great combo for England and kiwi conditions.

Bhuvi is a wasted career in tests. He actually averages 25 or 26 which is very good. Disappointed he isn't coming back to play tests at all. Injury ravaged career.

Overall he avg 26 in test

shami 27

umesh 30

What non performance are u talking about ?? have u seen his t20 performances..............i have made a thread go check it

Clearly u dnt see anything other then speed gun.

Hope you're just joking and not serious.

Bhuvneshwar is can't be compared Shami in Tests and ODI's, Shami is a wicket taker who has blown away the opposition multiple times.
Bhuvneshwar hardly played tests because his utility with old ball is limited, he mostly played in favourable conditions/green tops where new ball retains shine for longer time, that's it.

Also, Umesh's average goes down because of his inconsistency, but whenever he is on song, he is a treat to watch. I remember his spell of reverse swing against SA in 2017 or his phenomenol series where he single handedly blew away Bangladesh. Even in England series he bowled quite very well. Heck even in his debut series against Aus he was the only one who performed despite bowling against the likes of Vinay Kumar, Ishant Sharma 1.0 etc.

Stats won't show you that, but that's a fact which someone watching cricket regularly will always notice.

If you're throwing stats, then see at ODI's, Shami has 152 wkts in 82 matches, Umesh has 106 in 75...while Bhuvi has 141 in 121.
This is inclusive of the fact that at start....Bhuvi was ahead of them in terms of wickets per match (Shami had 10 in 11 matches, Umesh had 32 odd in 30 matches while Bhuvi was 25 in 17 matches). So, after their bumpy starts Shami picked 142 in 71 matches, Umesh 74 in 45 matches while Bhuvi could only pick 116 in 104 matches.

Shami is not a speed demon, nor is Umesh at present. They are fast medium to occasionally fast, that's it. So, speed gun wala point is irrelevant here.

Im not comparing that was answer to you regd that he has regd his performance in test from 2014 which ur so waiting for

I know shami is better in test and ODI

Umesh is only better in test that to indian conditions , rest bhuvi trumps him everywhere

About that condition one- he has performed in multiple conditions if their were many green top not his fault. On contrary umesh has just performed in India when he has SG ball . Its actually umesh who has turned out to be most limited despite a great skill set

Bumrah can generate steep bounce in form. Rabada can. Cummins can. No one else can do it consistently.

Morne morkel? Well that's what I expecr prasidh to develop into. Tyagi too. These are projects. Kuldeep sen.

as of now he balls lollypops , jab ho jayega morkel level tab batana

Pace. He needs to maintain intensity and pace for 20 overs. Could extend to 40 45 overs over a test match. Can he do that without trundling ????

You tell me.

Prasidh doesnt bowl lollipops in tests. I saw the ranji game. He looked deadly there. I don't know if he is carrying a niggle or not but the recent performances don't reflect his true ability.

He looked lethal vs england in India too for the odi series that happened in 2021.

Bhuvi can be good in sen conditions. Very good infact. We would have probably won the England series with a bowler like him if he was fit. Even in n.z

He would always suck in Australia but.

in condition when ball moves he is an asset

bhuvneshwar-kumar-bhuvneshwar.gif

any guy who can do that to ABDV is an asset, and these days a lot of conditions are bowler friendly- Eng, Sa, NZ , WI, SL .................all these places are very good for him

Not to forget a good tailender to have specially with pant u need someone who can hold an end

Umesh has played 1 test in SA, 1 in NZ.
If 1 test is going to set a parameter, then by that logic, Bhuvenshwar also played 1 Test in Australia...and I don't need to say his performance there.

Umesh played 10 Tests in Australia and there he has struggled because of his issues of leaking runs, but his averages in WI and England are good to decent.
So you can't say he hardly performed overseas, his control is an issue but he can use the new ball well.

I don't remember where I saw, but Umesh has taken more % of wickets in top order in comparison to middle or lower order. Outswing from off/4th stump at 137-143 pace is a deadly skill.

One off deliveries don't tell much. Even Umesh bowled a peach to Root in much flatter wicket.

Bhuvi so far has exclusively played in seamer friendly conditions in Tests. In that SA series, he was dropped for 2nd Test purely because of conditions. So even in those conditions, hes not suited to all pitches.

Bhuvi can be good on those conditions but so can be Siraj/Prasidh and other youngsters. Even Chahar can do what Bhuvi does if required.

Bhuvi was needed in 2018 Eng and 2020 NZ series but might be too late now.

Great T20 bowler anyway so should focus on that.

Just like giving 100 runs in one ODI is a normal thing, getting ABD out like that does defines his entire career.
ABDV has played more than 100+ tests, and he would have got out on multiple inns by different bowlers.

Youtube is full of such compilations.

yea becoz he struggles with kookabura or duke which is why he has been on bench .

skill doesn't remain deadly if u keep straying on pads which is why he leaks runs

He is deadly in India coz he is able to control SG better

With so much cricket horses for courses will be the way ahead for bowlers

and regd bhuvi a lot of conditions in test suit him

In terms of batsman we need to all conditions

Him and HP were ditched too soon. Really good pair for SENA. Unfortunately, fans expected later to average 50 forgetting he is an all-rounder an bats at 7.

HP has himself distanced himself for time being and he may retire out of it as well .............he knows he doesnt have the fitness for 5 days now

Even now? He seems fit, doesn't he? Injuries can happen to everyone.

even now if u see they dont miss a chance to rest him.............at times he runs in gingerly while bowling, on some days he keeps his pace down. They are using him in a smart way

In IPL also he didnt bowl for quite a few games.
