It’s like saying your teachers shouldn’t get 0 credit or should get all the credit. Use some rational thinking :)

maniac Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 By the way Rohit won the 2 ICC backed events without Bumrah, Kohli, Pandya and MSD-Jadeja in 1 out of 2 of those cups

Doctor can’t do what a friend, philosopher and guide can do. I believe that’s why most of these youngsters worship the ground he walks on just like the prev Gen did for MSD

So world tourneys and everyone plays their best teams there. Asia Cup and Nidahas are not that important. Teams rest important players in that.

Ind itself rested some players in those tournaments Edited September 1, 2022 by zen

Next? their first teams are mediocre themselves. And then yes they do experiment a bit for arriving at best team for WC. The pressure is just higher in WCs

Ind itself rested some players in those tournaments And a few main ones were injured due to lack of focus back in the day But still we won. Why do you seem so hell bent on proving It’s not a big deal I am assuming you didn’t enjoy those wins ??!

Why do you seem so hell bent on proving It’s not a big deal I am assuming you didn’t enjoy those wins ??! Because it is not a big deal ... I enjoyed Ind v SA in Ind too. Personal enjoyments do not make a series ICC or become a medium to give unnecessary credit to someone (it is actually criminal to give credit including of individual players performances to other individuals, ignoring the hard work put in by those players) PS Talk about the tangible performances on field with bat and/or ball, along with fielding. However every time our foreign minister or home minister do something great, credit is given to the PM of India just like our best achievements outside of Aus series was winning important tournaments of significant diplomatic, historical and geographical importance like Asia cup and Nidihaas. The general gets the credit and this case it is Rohit a proven master mind behind IPL and champions league wins and a former WT20 and CT winner as a player where he won important awards for contribution.

Not necessarily true ... Aus won two world cups under Ponting, where his captaincy is not a big factor ... It is how the teams and players, along with the opponents, were set up (similarly for teams like MI and Ind in Asia Cup). If someone is going to "steal" credit from the team and even players saying because of Ponting, McGrath, Bevan, Martyn, Gilchrist, Hayden, or whoever did well, it is going to sound extremely dumb PS Show tangibles where Tuk Tuk was a game changer with his own performance as a batsman or fielder or bowler Edited September 1, 2022 by zen
