Keep an eye on SL (T20WC22)

Underrated and in the tough group with Aus, Eng, & NZ, along with AFG. Dangerous teams such as IRE could qualify in its group too. 
 

However, its bowling attack is useful and could create issues for SENA teams. Batting is beginning to click and the players played in Aus for a T20 series iirc (many play in BBL too). 
 

Somehow if SL manages to reach knockouts, it could imply that it is playing outstanding cricket (would have beaten at least two of Aus, Eng, & NZ) and therefore, likely to become extremely dangerous in KOs. 

 

SL is a strong dark horse of Group 1. If nothing more, hoping to see it play exciting cricket!

Underdog team but has been punching well above its weight in recent times. Hope they do well in the world cup.

Btw, SL is in the qualifier Grp A. If it wins the group, most likely scenario, it will end up in Grp 1.

 

However, if it has a bad game and finishes 2nd, it would be placed in Grp 2 with BD, Ind, & Pak, along w/ WI, which is expected to top Group B to end up in Group 2 (if WI somehow finishes 2nd in Group B, it would end up in Grp 1).

 

If SL ends up in Grp 2 somehow, it could improve its KO chances further!
