Dab and run for singles, keep looking for drives and cuts through gaps by playing close to the body. 

 

Tip and run is not the game of these two. Gauti was expert in that. Dhawan usually punishes anything remotely in his hitting zone with complete confidence. He can make the opposition bowl bad balls on his day.  It helped Rohit settle in. Now Rohit lacks that aggressive partner. One reason why Rohit is trying to assume that role. Not working so far.

Because, he is slowly becoming DK 2.0...always circumspect and unsure of what he has to do, despite of all the skills and talent.
So why not use him in the same way (as he's not gonna get dropped anyway), so that he don't get time to fight with the demons in his mind and rather act on instinct and muscle memory.
