virtually all teams "fix" pitches; by the word "fix", what it means is that all teams try to maximize what matters to them.

Eng, NZ --> prepare greentops for certain teams

SA --> prepare bouncy greentops to boost their pacer records

SL, Bang --> spin tracks

Pak --> flat tracks to boost Babar's avg and convert him into Akbar

every team does it. the diff, however, is that your team cares more about boosting babar's personal records than winning. in this day and age, that is a shameful fact - it resembles SC in the 00s where likes of thilan samaraweera were plundering 100s and 200s for fun.

one must win at all costs, even if it means sacrificing batting avgs in the process. but, no, pak needs its barber to be on top

That is the problem with cricket icc allowing pitch fixing and expecting players to be honest soldiers.

Babar get plenty criticism from me especially on **** on stick captaincy remind me of Sachin captaincy. That is one thing he share with Bharti legend.

I loved Bumrah's 2018-19 tour to Australia much more, ss those batters, even without Smith, were much better than the club cricketers that WI pass off as test cricketers these days.

He would have ran through both Warner and Smith that year too.

He was bowling 140-150 with serious bounce. No chance aus wins. We proved that in 2021 it ain't no fluke

not about the quality of opposition, but bumrah was at his peak in the WI tour. had be bowled to Oz, would have still gotten lots of wickets

No, he wasn't. He was having back issues during the WI 19 tests and was dropping pace from time to time.

Bro make videos and a list of all trundlers im ranji please.

I will inbox bcci about it and let them how they can destroy indin cricket if they select such faltu bowlers. They love gentle trundlers so much so maybe that is a list they are expecting anyway.

KAVERAPPA ..

Although Kaverappa is not 140 k+ but I have jncluded his video as he he gets steep bounce from a high release pount.

That's my only hope now

Clearly our current management coach and dumb ass captain hate pace.

For God sake atleast pick tall trundlers who can bowl with good bounce. I will be satisfied with that.

McGrath although not a trundler was always around 128-135 range and destroyed everyone.

McG was sub-130 only very late in his career. in early and mid career, he was consistently high 130s (occasionally low 140s). kaverappa is about 10 kph slower at the same age

Kaverappa will probably bowl 127 k to 137 k or thereabouts when measured by international cricket speed guns.

I'm not sure this is strictly true. When guns were first being used in 2001-2002 (McGrath at 31-32 years old, so near his peak), he would clock in at around 130kph-135kph in Tests. He did clock 148kph in the 1999 World Cup but even in ODIs in 2001-2002 onwards, he was normally sub-135kph.

However, comparisons to McGrath on speed are very difficult to make because someone of that calibre would have averaged around 10-15 in Ranji Trophy with that level of accuracy, seam movement and bounce. McGrath was genuinely uniquely special in his skill.

If one is tall and extremely accurate and seams the ball, then you can get away with bowling at under 135kph in Test cricket. However, someone like that would absolutely dominate at the lower levels (rather than merely do fairly well). McGrath's metronomic action gave him a level of consistency that has not been even close to replicated since his retirement. That is the reason he took wickets all over the world and never leaked runs.

McGrath was clocking up to 143 in 2003 wc. McGrath didn't bowl 148 in wc 1999.
