Dont forget also he has been completely f**ked around in terms of his placement in the ODI side, there has never been a consistent position he has played in.

Compare that to the uncles that are picked in safe positions where they can go tuk tuk and justify the approach for laying a platform. Just look at how long Dhawan has played as an opener even when he was underperforming for the past years. It took a Kishan double century to end his career.

 

All the platform does is kill our chances of winning a game.

I wouldnt be banking on Bumrah being back for the WC.

 

India must plan without him, if he recovers from his injury AND has form, than sure it would be a massive weapon to have him in the team.

Big fan of Pant in Tests, but he hasn't done justice to his talent in LOIs. So nothing wrong in giving him a break and trying out some other options. Batting and keeping in three formats + IPL takes a toll.. Pant has had issues with form and fitness, so the break might actually help him.

 

Also, excited to see Kishan open and Gabbar's long-overdue sacking happen finally.. Would like to give kishan one full series as opener + wicketkeeper to see what he has to offer.. Would be travesty if Rahul keeps though
