This England batting is on another level, I really thought Australian attack would be good enough to overcome them .If you hear Ponting you see the pride Australian admitting what this bazball has done is unheard off. Australia mein bazball nahin chalega, you heard it here first, tu dekh le. You need a balanced mix of attack and caution like how Laxman bats. I don't trust Pant's approach, can work sometimes but not reliable always.

They still won that series against SA.They lost test against NZ too. But I admit England batting is just scary, they are not depending on one or two player to score runs. SA's batting is what make them poorer. Same Australian attack could not remove Babar Azam until he scored 196 runs. England attack with average attack got rid of babar every time in 3 tests. They struggled against Woakes/Wood last match.

Same wit india. Our weak batting makes our strong bowling look weak sometimes.

I don't think so , they are not even in the same ball park.Nortje other than his pace has not many skills.Rabada is overworked and overused.

Against Aus they were in Michael Atherton mode completely, hence the reason why Aus bowlers found it hard to dismiss them. Edited July 21, 2023 by MechEng putrevus 1

I am not sure how you can say that. They rely on Lyon holding up one end and rotate the seamer from other end. Now they have no one to do holding job. They are brutally exposed. SA used Maharaja for 7 overs in the entire India series in 3 tests. They could still work. This team relies on pitch offering a bit of bounce. Cummins is an exception. But he can't do it all alone.
vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Hazlewood is steadily declining. Reached a mini peak of 10th ranking early this year. Now at 15th ranked bowler

Reversing the ball. Australia quickly runs out of ideas. They heavily rely on CUmmins who himself has a lot to prove in Asia.
