As much as i enjoy English being beaten i am not going get carried away with hyping of Aussies. They are lucky to be in this position thanks to some dumbass tactics from England.

Match is still not over yet.  He was the man of the match in 3rd Test. Since those two came in England has been totally outplaying Australia despite they keep carrying the dead weight Anderson.

They were outplayed in 1 match, that's why averages are like that.

First two tests were closer.  That is why. Could have gone either way in 4th innings. In the first test England was dominating until Lyon walked in.

More like England played series of brainless hook shots and succumbed. I won't say "outplayed" when they lose only by 47 runs.. England took 20 wickets in the 2nd test  unlike Australia benefitted from ENgland's declaration. Bairstow's brainless run out ofcourse aided them. England was 188/1 at one point in 2nd test before indulging in hookathans.

It is a mistake that England brought in Moeen from retirement. Already out twice in this series with injury.  They luckily have Root.

If you look at cricinfo scorecard then it was close. If you look at match, England were behind and playing chasing game.

 

188-1 and collapse is not unusual in cricket.

Same thoughts. Root cannot be typecast. He tries different things for different batsmen. Ofcourse tendulkar had much tougher skill in his repertoire. Outswing, leg spin, googly.

Tendu was more versatile as a bowler. I also saw him bowl offspin (not googlies) in some FC, and of course he also bowled medium pace, legbreaks and googlies in intl's.

Yes. I did watch the match. I won't say they "dominated". It was a case of England being brainless.
