That declaration on day 1, due to Bazball, means that the game can still produce a result if play resumes. If Eng had taken a session or so more to get close to 400, a session or so lost to rain would have resulted in a draw by now. IIRC, Eng cares for win/loss results more than draws. If I am not wrong, Stokes has said that Eng likes to go for a win from any situation even at the risk of losing. nevada and Tattieboy 2
