You're right about t20s. Just looked it up.  There are 2 pieces of news:

 

"Rashid rested from test squad to preserve long-term fitness."

"Rashid picked for NYC's MI franchise, for MLC starting in July."

if Afghan premier spinners are not interested in playing tests then test status must be taken away from afghanistan. Without a functioning first class structure its pointless for them to play tests. Just focus on white ball cricket

The fact that they lost by 500+ runs after winning in Bangladesh in 2019, shows Afg is Rashid Khan or nothing. They had their boom period, now they will be bust soon

I like the fact that AFG is using tests to provide exposure to its other cricketers. AFG cannot rely on a handful of players to be competitive. In a few years, it can become a competitive side. 

 

Let's not forget that AFG does not play any series at home. It does not have any home advantage. We know how teams like India tend to perform away from home (no matter which players it plays). It took decades to win its first test/series in many countries.
