Every Indian bowler is 145 kph nowadays. 

Bumrah is 150kph bowler 

Shami is 145 kph bowler 

Prasidh is 150kph bowler 

Karthik Tyagi is 150kph bowler. 

 

 

Matlab sharam bhi nahi aati bolne mai.

yes pretty much what i say. Since the subject was about pandya would have been more useful in 70s compared to Kapil dev. We just had to call that out.  No T20s back tthen. just tests. Also we completely ignore the improvement in nutrition, diet, workout methods, video analysis. Back then Kapil just drank had to stick with old school method.

• Bowl one ball at 145 kph and then trundle at 135 -137 kph and voila you are a 145+ kph bowler
  
  No need to send every other ball at 145 like a wood or Akhtar, Lee. Bas ek ball dekhne ke baad orgasm aa jaaega Indian fans ko, and you will be a 145+kph speed demon.

Also didn't expect sensible posters here to rate the likes of Pandya over a Legend Kapil Dev.
Looks like the speed fantasy has blinded the eyes of posters here, Kapil dev with his 130 kph balls is 10 times more potent as a test and Odi bowler than the likes of Pandya, but I know it's hard to understand considering naya naya pace ka shauk chadha hai.
Imagine what would have happened if we actually had 145+ pacers like Pakistan instead of once in a blue moon 145+kph bowler.

Yes, I have noticed too.. And there is a bit too much obsession of pace. Quality, fitness aur sustainability v dekhle ye.

Can you name a few medium pacers with 200 test wickets and a sub 25 avg. There aren't many.

Umran Malik hasn't got match time. And our ridiculous selection committee wants to give match time to a 30 year old trundler Mukesh Kumar and not to a 24 year old 150 plus pacer.

There is one bowler that is mistaken to be express infact he was not. When Ambrose ran through England along with Walsh he was clocking clocking 81.mph mostly. But that height and his skill made him unplayable even at lower speed. On pitches that aided paces he was even more deadly. Jamieson ,Jansen were potent due to their height. You need atleast one tall bowler preferably one can swing .

I am not advocating for Mukesh Kumar over Umran. 

 

The thing is that you guys need to differentiate between Billy Stanlake, Shaun Tait and Shoaib Akhtar. 

 

All of them are express fast, doesn't mean that they are at same level or will ever be at same level. 

 

There are other qualities apart from pace which we always forget. 

 

Siraj is a 135-140 kph pacer mostly, I am quite sure that his average speed in 137 or less. Doesn't change the fact that he is Indias best bet. 

Even if you see Cummins and Rabada these days they generally operate in the 137 tp 143 kph range and are still getting wickets. 

 

 

Examples bahut hain (also I am taking the whole career into perspective, to ye mat kehna ki usne ek baar 140 kph daal di thi) -

Who calls Ambrose an express bowler? 

Whoever does that might be smoking weed while watching him. 

 

Ambrose was medium fast bowler who had excess bounce. 

 

Jamieson and Jansen are good examples too. 

Walsh himself was medium fast.

McGrath was 137-143k in his younger days...his pace declined with age and he was 132-137 in 2003 WC and 128-135 in 2007 WC.

Bumrah's peak pace is around 147, Prasidh's around 145. Average pace around 138-142

 

Shami still can hit 143-144k in T20's...Average pace is around 135-137.

 

150 is Tyagi's peak pace....he is a 142-146 kph bowler...so does Sen and Harshit Rana.
