Deora joined the SS, to contest and fight against Arvind Sawant. He couldn't from the Congress, given Congress and Shiv Sena Udhav are allies and won't filed candidates for the same constituency.

Does Uddhav have any credibility going into polls in aliiance with Congress? SS have always been anti-Congress. Will congress voters vote for his party as they were kuttar rivals before, esp the Congress Muslim voters?. I guess SS voters are split and will probably vote for Shinde faction. So, who would vote for Uddhav factipn. Same with NCP Pawar factions... It is a cluster-f*k as @Lone Wolf puts it. Only BJP voters would vote for BJP or Shinde faction for sure.

Mumbai has huge outside population.areas like mulund borivli kandivli ghatkopar have huge gujju population.Hope they show up and kick this uddhav out. Marathi leaders apart from fadnavis are terrible.

Idk how much of advantage that would be but Ajit Pawar bagging NCP election symbol could swing so many votes & could be decisive in a close contest...  Same goes for Uddhav Faction...  I reckon UT still is massive than other SS faction but nobody is clearly able to predict what is going on in MAH.  I will give 50-50 to both sides as of now.

I am a little surprised that most people are calling Shinde a gaddar even though it was uddhav who betrayed the peoples mandate and went to Kangress.

 

Clearly for those people it is not hindutva but marathi identity that is more important.

 

Having read history nothing had changed in the past 300 years with various maratha sardars during the peshwai doing their own thing without understanding the big picture.

 

Replace santaaji and dhanaji with thackeray and pawar and nothings changed.

Can't really answer on behalf of others, but in my limited understanding/ observations Muslims in Mumbai have not really been anti BJP.  At a community level, BJP has made inroads into many Muslims communities: The Khojas, The Bohris, the Rangrez, the Pathans and a fair few others.

Muslims in Mumbai have been mainly anti Shiv Sena ( the Bal Thackeray one) and for many valid reasons.

Giving 24 seats to INDI in Maharashtra is far too generous. Uddhav and Sharad Pawar have lost most of their cadre. NCP voters will still side with Sharad on non Ajit Pawar seats but most if not all of Sena votes will go to NDA. Congress is too weak in MH, many top leaders have deserted the shinking ship. BJP vote is still intact and will prove decisive in the end.

What was the big picture 300 years ago? It was to make alliances and take control of the larger region much like Europe. They had lots of infighting, at least Peshwas were indigenous and had the greater Hindu /Bharatiya cause at heart.

Peshwas are brahmins.They ruled with their intellect and had an idea about nationalism.The Marathas were brave but short sighted.They repelled the mughals but fought against each other and the confederacy was weakened because of their infighting.

 

The Nana Fadnavis - Mahadji shinde combination ensured that the Marathas became strong after the third battle of panipat.But after fadnavis death in 1800, the local marathas fought each other and disintegrated finally losing to the brits in 1818.

I haven't seen a single BJP leader or even their supporter ever blame Congress directly for conducting the Mumbai attacks or the dozens of bomb blasts that happened during UPA era. BJP only blamed them for being soft on Pakistan and Islamists, which is absolutely true.

 

But these b*stards Khangressi have stooped to unprecedented lows just to please their Jihadi votebank. I can't believe how any Nationalistic Indian in their right mind can support these b*stards nowadays.
