Dambulla weather looks better than most parts of Srilanka, dont why they are not contemplating Dambulla over Pallakelle.

Think they are shifting the event to Dambulla.

No disrespect to SL as a nation but as a viewer watching cricket in Sri Lanka is anyway very depressing. Mostly empty grounds even during SL games, sluggish pitches good for neither batting nor bowling, weird sounds from trumpets being blown in crowd, camera can't spot any good looking girls and watching their ground staff running with blue covers every minute gives a labour harassment vibes.

Blue covers are mostly the Tadpatri (Tarpaulin) used in most of the India during the rainy season. Wish they could have done better in that regard.

Hambantota shows chances of shower on 10th, Dambulla shows clear skies.

Dambulla is a logistical nightmare. It's in a jungle..lol. Closest hotel is 45 min away. Also, the ground staff has already said that the stadium itself isn't ready. Floodlights can be an issue. I don't think the games will shift to Dambulla.

SL cricket board has low earnings and on top of that they are corrupt as fcuk. Many a times heard players were not even paid. No wonder they are stuck in stoneage.

Visiting SL is a better experience than like going to ugly Bangladesh or Terror stricken Islamist Pakistan or in a over crowded India.

Galle is a fantastic setting.

They are going through tough times so it was nice of BCCI to force the tournament there...  It will help in their finances & add brownie points.

Lower probability...  Sports Tak said Dambulla has floodlight issues.

Yes. It is a good place to visit. No doubt. Just talking about watching cricket there on TV.

Weather is like sapping Chennai weather throught the year when cricket is possible. I remeber Gibbs running out of fluid and getting dehydrated in a day night game in the 2002 CT I think which cost Saf.

SL grounds in whiteball cricket are very carnival like, it's a better place to play cricket than Pakistan tbh where you still have those 600 par score pitches whete ball doesn't bounce above waist height and pitch is too slow for stroke play.
