Cheaper to install video cameras and patrolmen. Sesnsors on all trains are not sustainable as even technology is susceptible as seen in the Balasore tragedy. Would require a lot of additional infra for data, transmission etc. which wouldn't work in some remote parts of India.

I think we can be assured that Ashwini Vaishnaw and team  - knowing all the constraints and infrastructure gaps will figure the best possible solution..to prevent a disaster.

He is an extremely capable technocrat minister.

We have almost 70,000 KM of railway line - that would take  enormous manpower for patrolling and insane number of videos cams to monitor tracks.

Also video cams mounted on the trains for track monitoring would not be of much help -high speed trains like Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, Duronto etc...cover 1-2 kms to come at a complete halt from point of breaking when they are at high speeds- don't think cameras can see that far. It would be too late to break when such obstructions are spotted.

Horrible thing done by a horrible person.

But the tweet linked here has bigotry embedded it.

Such casual bigotry is disgusting and is also damaging to our country and society.  Those who practice it, support it, enable it, are not "patriots", but traitors themselves.

One side with "One god one book" had mastered bigotry.
