2022 squad looked inferior compared to 2018 squad. Now when you compare this 2024 squad it is even more inferior compared to 2022. It is a miracle they have gotten this far. I think this captain has shades of MSD. bats likes him "Taking it deep" lol Also he manages to work around mediocre resources.

Gotta admit this is some pretty insipid and impotent bowling. Hardly beating the bat and getting milked quite easily. They will launch at some point and get a daunting score.

And Tiwari strikes as i say this.

Tiwari should have bowled more in the first 10. Has been expensive but quite a few mistimed shots off his bowling already.

U19 is generally a poor indicator of whether a player will go on to have a good career. Majority at this level tend to fade away.

 

However this current batch looks pretty limited and hard to see who will transition to senior level.

INdia had a much vaunted pace attack in 2018 batch. Mavi, Nagarkoti, Ishan porel.  But the guy who eventually played a lot more for India was the reserve bowler Arshdeep singh from that batch.

If i learnt correctly i think there was very little gelling time given to this team by BCCI. Most of them were randomly assembled very recently.

The seniors dont give a sh1t ,first they are not that great ,only stat paddlers most of them ,second ,they think they are bigger than the game and hardly show any passion!
