Did India get away with it ?

They needed 185 runs in 19 overs with 6 wkts to spare. That is when I thought we might lose. Both KW and GP wkts fell at crucial times. If they had scored 30 off more runs, it would have been much closer like the Aus-NZ game. They ran out of power hitters

old man shami steamrolled them; rest of bowling (barring kuldeep) was mostly tripe

Nah... one has to recognize chasing 398 in a semi final was always going to be difficult. The only problem for India was if williamson was going to hold up one end & mithcell kept going ballistic at the other end. It was just a matter of breaking the partnership, as soon as India was able to do it India was always in the driver seat.

India isn't Afghanistan to let one tired man to take the game away, it was on NZ to keep up with the RRR. Even though we missed some chances, we are always going to make more because of the scoreboard pressure.

While we need to address our lapses in field & extras, we also need to play selfless cricket at the top. if ppl around kohli - Iyer, Rohit, Gill, & KL hadn't accelerated we would have ended up with a 330 - 350 score & we would have been in real danger of losing this.

The think tank should talk to kohli about this, he can't continue to be playing the anchor role in the final 10 just because he is close to a milestone, I can understand if we have lost 4 -5 wkts, but we were 1 down. Playing for milestones in a KO game is simply unacceptable.
