Apart from Rafale (which were much much smaller number of fighter planes than originally planned under UPA) no new fighter jet fleet has been added. IAF has cried for more squadrons for years yet nothing has happened. With China waiting for a slip up on the other side... GoI has limited options wrt Pakistan which has US backed sarkar in place. We missed a glorious window in Feb 2019... Pak was there for the taking with no China threat... And a Anti US gormint under Imran there.
