Australian Domination over India since June 2023.

Recommended Posts

1.  Australia beats India in finals to win Test Championship

2. Australia beats India to win ODI World Cup.

3. Cummins and Starc are the richest players in IPL.

4. Australian Women's team destroy India in India.

Can anyone explain this total domination by the Aussies? :phew:  Are Indians pathetically mentally and physically weak?

Dominating only in the match that matters. We beat them quite a few times comprehensively last year.

Had to resort of turners to eke out a series win...

After Indore test humiliation...  Phattu Dravid played on a ultra flat dead Amdavad pitch to snatch a draw.

This Aussie side has us covered in Talent & skill I am afraid.

Yea in the world cup Australia lost ot India in the preliminary match.  Yes they won important Tests. India  had no reason not to draw the WTC final also not to win WC final. That is on India.

Remember Cummins is 30 and still in business prime

But starc and hazlewood are getting old.

Fielding is one of the major difference. Indian women dropped like 7 catches in the 2nd ODI i think. Even in men's cricket there is a massive gulf between fielding standards. Fielding is a barometer whether you are up for a contest or not. Australia always takes their fielding to next level in crunch games, crunch moments.

That was the test series.   But we beat them 2-1 in odi series played on flat pattas.    Though Starc & Cummins didn't play the first two games.   Even T Head was missing in the entire series.  Otherwise result could hv been different.

Sum of all parts is always better for Australia. If you give mark to bowling/batting/fielding category of each player and add everything up AUstralia is going to havie much higher points. That helps in crunch games. Bumrah may be better htan cummins. But Bumrah/s bowling/batting/fielding  < Cummins batting/bowling/fielding. He beats Bumrah in two departments.  If CUmmins fails in bowling department he can always contribute in other areas. Just see the catch of Travis head in the final. You think our players could have pulled that off? I doubt so. We only judge our team based on their best in their specialist department while ignoring how much they don't contribute in other areas. This is why some times seemingly weaker sides do better in tournaments. players have to be very good  in two departments bare minimum. That is applicable for the world's best fast bowler and world's best batsman.

They failed in their main skill. Batsmen in batting and bowlers in bowling.

You have to step up in other departments. Australia almost failed to defend 380 odd against NZ. Starc started 50th over with 5 wides. But couple of spectacular  fielding effort of Labu saved the day for them. Call it an X factor.

The main reason for this is clearly Supreme athleticism.

David Warner was diving and saving tons of runs at his age in the finals. Same was not the case with Rohit with his pot belly.

Travis Head fielding and even when batting making sure he sticks to the end until game finishes.

I have seen countless times where KL Rahul, Kohli, Rohit start celebrating milestones and gift their wicket away in the last few years.

And the most important aspect is their line up is very flexible. They could have elevated Tim David as the next big thing like we did SKY but they always backed Maxwell, Marsh and Head due to their part time bowling skills.

The idiot Dravid and Rohit Sharma couldn't do the same with Venky Iyer, Sundar and other replacements for Pandya. Instead brought SKY who didn't do the one job he should have done better.

The biggest factor is planning done for each batsman. I don't know what coaches in India are even doing that they didn't realize that not shuffling the batting line up and giving away entire game plan would have someone smart exploit it.

I mean do they seriously think Iyer will be fed Maxwell's spin and not bouncers from Starc or Cummins just because he comes at #4?

Or Gill fishing outside off stump line or Rohit playing like Afridi?

Or SKY with his love for leg side play and zero offside bouncer play.

Basic strategy is to keep your plans secret. if they were so worried about Aussies that they tampered pitch, they should have begged BCCI and modi to put final in Chennai spin dust bowl pitch.

It makes my blood boil that the richest board in the world cannot even do basic strategy and homework. And then they reward that loser SKY and Rahul with captaincy just for seniority reasons.

This is why Indian women's team will not stand against Aussie women as the strategy and homework is just not there.

No you don’t need to if you are good enough with your main skill.

it’s is always good to have secondary skills but they cannot be at the expense of their primary skill.

You don’t need more Pandya’s , you need more Cummins or Heads .

Indian ground fielding under Kohli was world class but under Dravid and Rohit it has been  okay at best.

Fielding did not lose the important matches though, catching is different story.
