Gill/Iyer didn't play as long & Iyer didn't have the same set of numbers backing him up! Rahane has been a major disappointment in this record because of his poor numbers in India, if he could score more/consistently he'd probably never have been dropped as early as he was. Ideally at least one of Pujara/Rahane or Kohli should've played this series. Fat arse is well & truly cooked at this level, he's in no way fit or befitting of a captain nitinbwj 1 Link to comment

That's a form issue not a skill issue. Gill,Iyer have done well in Ranjis before. I support the selection of top Ranji players on principal basis but they have not proven anything yet at intl level.
