Trump stole his platform and reached out to the same people that Sanders reached out to in rust belt where Bernie beat Hillary easily. Democrats went with "seniority quota" much like BCCI does these days. They got their reality check. They still didn't learn. A candidate should resonate with voters. Obama did twice. People rallied around him so much so they wanted third term. DJT also got lucky with women as opponent twice. First was atleast qualified. Second was pathetic. Credit to him for winning the primary. But national level win was due to these factors. Having said that, GOP also made fun of Biden last year, they called Michelle obama monkey in 2008. Look where they ended up. Kamala could not even get single vote in primary. Obama beat Hillary the most popular candidate at that time in the primary convincingly. Then he won both elections convincingly. They have other mechanisms to verify. Atleast read why it is set up that way before asking. Each state has details about that. Republicans don't want many people to vote. Along with their supporters. During bush era, general democrat line on abortion, gay marriage, war, working class labour made sense. Obama era actually he had everyone captivated and again his supporters looked saner. Then between 2016 and 2020, democrats lost their balance and went full woke. Between 2020 and 2024, they got worse and some got disillusioned and went with trump. Even now I see a clear lack of reasoning and critical abilities of democrats and their supporters. When actually they are supposed to be better placed and better read. I think broad gap is because one side is believing mainstream media and other side has moved on. Democrats including Indian ones are as insular as an average American. Echo chamber has caused atrophy.

I literally have lived in murrica for decades, i still own a home there, all i have to do is reach out to 10 people in the states where there is no ID check and ask them for what their voting procedure was. You say who you are and as long as you know the address of the person, you can vote. An ex of mine got to vote this election on a wrong name - she got married in the last 4 years and her last name doesnt match the voter rolls, but it was STILL okay for her to vote - that kind of kangaroo system doesnt happen in India, so explain your gungadeen style swipe at Indian elections. Explain how. You have to be registered to vote. You have live near there. ONe of the historical tactic of Republicans is voter suppression. They know people becoming more and more left leaning. So they do all kind of tactics to do voter suppression. This is anti-democratic. So Trump started gaslighting "voter fraud voter fraud" parrotting the same conspiracy theories from far right wing channels. More the times you say it more the chances of sticking. Actually some of the guys who were caught for fraud voting were Trump supporters attempting to vote on behalf of his wife or relative.
