It’s not just me many on this forum agree. He is great in ODIs but t20 he is ok and has declined from past. He did play slow in 2022 T20 WC semifinal along with Rohit which caused an embarrassing defeat. Rohit changed his approach but Kohli still plays around same strike rate.

Firstly, I don't care who agrees with you and who doesn't. If you want to have a discussion we can, or we can troll around side stepping and talking about mugs like Dube and clutching at strawmen. I don't agree with Kohli's recent approach in T20s and I am glad he realised the game has moved on and India will be better served with young talent. This is a different discussion entirely.

Here we are talking about overall careers so don't split careers into pre and post 2016 or 2099. I ask a simple question again - if we are taking overall careers in white ball (wording of the original post - if you have an issue with that, ask the thread starter) that includes ODIs and T20Is.

If we include whole careers ODI+T20Is, name 10 players who are definitely better?

Obviously, as we all know most of the janta here is low iq.

The only comparison Kohli has is Viv Richard and I can grant that some people can think Viv was better, Sachin shouldn’t be in the conversation at all.

This I agree with. Kohli has played far too many clutch knocks in white ball cricket in comparison.

Sachin similarly is head and shoulders above Kohli in test format actually the margin of difference in tests is even more.

He has played with intent till the final . He did not succeed but intent was there. His innings in final was absolutely fine since he scored at 130 strike rate.

t20 finals are not about strike rate. Look at what pak did in 2022 t20 final, they were set to score 150-160 with 80/2 in 12 overs. With Babar Azam gone, rest of the batters in trying to go aggressive/better strike rate lost wickets in clump and bundled out for 137 which England chased in 19 overs which ended up a close game.

15 runs more, Pakistan(with a total of 150)  would have won this game.

That's when I believe we coined the term coolie for him.

But I don't want be disrespectful. We have won the WC now. So I am going to let it slide but I will never forget it ofcourse.

I still feel that kohli knock was average in t20 wc.

The average knock gave india not only the fighting total but highest in a World Cup final for a t20 side this far since 2007

4. Yuvi

5. Gambhir

If Bumrah wins India another tourney, he's gonna leapfrog into the top 3.

P.S. - Not including Kapil as he retired in early 90s when white ball cricket wasn't that dominant. But he would've been a beast given his Sr at the time was 100+  He would walk into any LOI team though.

It was average but I blame rohit and sky for the slow batting. He did ok. He should have accelerated a bit better. He put a lot of pressure on axar.

Only 2 people have low iq. People who take iq tests seriously and kohli fans. Just like their master coolie who also happens to have low iq. Shut your coolie trap.

Coolie was never the best odi player. In t20 ok he has a good legacy but his pawaaar game post 2016 has been shite.

Dont grovel too much dude. People like you are the reason why india have this superstar culture. Keep worshipping these overpaid clowns. Keep being on his nuts. Ignorant bum.

I agree. Had he lasted 20 overs, probably he would have scored 6-8 runs more which would have made the Total 185.

Don't do that man, he has just retired with a MoM in WC final. Let the guy be. If you combine ODIs and T20Is, it's hard to argue there's been a better player (Indian or otherwise). Guy averaged close to 50 striking 140 in his T20 career and has 51 white ball tons. This is not Zimbabar or legwan, let's give a man who has won 3 MOTT in whiteball WCs some respect.

I don't agree with the one eyed posters mindlessly bashing Kohli and running away with their tails between their legs when asked to name 10 better players in ODIs and T20Is combined. However, T20s are about strike rate and Kohli has been guilty on multiple occasions of severely underestimating the par score batting first. While chasing he has the number so he knows what he needs to do. His knock in the WC SF 2022 was terrible (Rohit's too). We scored 160 or whatever it was thanks to Hardik - that was an easy 200 pitch.

He is 100 times better than zimbabar. Hell I would take kela over babar.

Legwana hahahhahaha that's funny.

I am bitter because his bad selections in 2019 cost us the odi title. 2023 he did ok but again that pannauti kela is the reason we lost that one too.

If only we got rid of that useless guy.

I agree on selections - we kept Rahane out when he was actually decent during a Test Series in SA which we eventually lost. In general Kohli was a good captain for fast bowlers but in LOI he was bang average - 2019 where we were playing DK, Jadhav and useless Dhoni in the middle cost us the World Cup. Kela is a gutless choker. No heart at all. He's a better version of Zimbabar.
