Yep, credit to Pakistan today. Pakisan's top order did not throw away their wickets today early on. This enabled them to put a strong total on the board. I think India fought well but gave away too many runs in the last 20 overs.

yes, this defeat doesnt hurt too much. maybe it was a bit of a meaningless tournament or maybe it was a young indian team making 290 & fighting till the very end. however, its the asia cup which matters most & we will win it this time :D

Congrats Butt scored his 5th ODI 100. This is where Indians have been poor. Many batsmen have played some blinder (over and over) against us, but we still don't go in the game with a particular plan against that particular batsman. Butt has an average of 52 against us and a pathetic run against rest of the teams. This shows a lot about our pre game planning against him.

I agree. It's funny that PCB has threatened the whole Pakistan to perform. It was like Do or Die situation. I actually liked the concept approached by PCB. PCB should keep doing like that. Even Wasim used to threaten many new players to get em perform or get the fk out of the squad. That was like used to be. That's what forced Akhtar and Razzaq to perform consistent in the past. Sadly, it's not same case anymore :nervous:

Actuallly a loss like this doesn't hurt that much, it wasn't a big tourney, we were 25 runs short and its pure and simple case that Pak played better. Dhoni will remain a great captain and he's bound to make mistakes, infact this will make the Asia cup more interesting now

congrats to Pak... they batted us out of this game. 300+ runs is always a difficult chase no matter what one can say about the nature of the pitch or the quality of bowling. So, I would reckon the 2 centurions from Pak really won the game for them!

Extremely well played Pakistan. The way they came back after the previous loss is very very commendable. Indians fought well but to be honest they were not in the match after Gambhir got out. All the credit goes to Butt, Khan and Gul who bowled superbly in the match. Congratulation Pakistan!!

A good point. We needed a good start chasing this big a total. We needed sehwag at least till the 10th over. By which time he would have got a quick fire 20 or 30, which was so important. But it was not to be...

well played pakistan .It was an eye opener for india as well . Our fragile middle order got exposed . We should know that Gambhor -Sehwag won't click all the time .
