Diet won't change genetics, looks at Afghanistan ,they don't look malnourished despite decades of wars.

Also India has hundreds of millions of meat eaters, more meat eaters than most countries in the world.

eating meat as part of diet and being able to actually afford to eat meat are two different things.

most non-veg in india are from castes/groups that are poor so they can't even afford meat.

so the richer vegetarian groups don't eat meat cause not in their diet, the poorer non-veg groups don't eat much cause can't afford.

india's sporting revolution will come when india will become rich enough that the non-veg groups can afford/eat lots of non-veg and grow tall and strong.

in usa/europe, blacks are poorer than whites. but since they are first world countries they still get a good diet/lifestyle and are able to dominate athletics. also blacks are a minority in us (12%) and even less in europe. even then they can dominate. in india it is opposite, the vegetarian castes are a minority.

yes but the best wrestlers in the world are all non veg.

so indias veg athletes are decent in spite of vegetarianism. if they incorporated non veg would even be better.

There are no vegetarians in Pakistan or Bangladesh, hence they win tons of Olympics medals.

Eating meat clearly isn’t the issue.

It doesn't matter...as human consciousness rises, they become more veg.Kohli became vegan. There are longevity arguments in favour of vegan/vegetarianism. Gen Z is exponentially more veg than say 55+ age group in USA. The trend will continue further in younger generations. And then the copycat non vegetarians of India will wake up.

Vegetarian diets of Indians is the thing to be proud of imho.

vegetarianism as a source of morality/humanism is great.

indian vegetarianism is based on caste and is completely different.

Why do you focus on kohli alone bro? What about all other cricketers? Did they not achieve human consciousness?

Before you talk about Gen Z in USA, keep in mind that most of them are VEGAN. They are not like our vegetarians who will skip meat but eat paneer and ghee everyday. Vegans might have some moral arguments about animal welfare but you cannot take dairy products everyday and then lecture about animal rights

Dude the swimming pool I go to, it costs  4.5k a month. It's heated but apart from that it's just a normal half Olympic size pool.

The so called pools in apartments and gated communities will be tiny and not deep enough to swim.

I meant dollars. Are you overseas too?

You mean 4.5 k rupees?

I meant 4 k dollars a year for me

Also ask the hypocrite if he has given up milk, ghee, paneeer, curd because he is giving lectures about veganism and rise in consciousness.

There are multiple times diet-wise I have said I myself consider vegans to be morally superior to me...I have cut massively on diary but not yet completely down to zero. I am aware there are atrocities happening in diary industry.

But see look at our gdp and look at theirs. Most canr afford to play most of these sports

Like rowing. Forget about it. Gymnastics. Mu daughter does it. Costs me 3 to 4 k a year almost.

Yes we do lack sport IQ

But that will only develop with better coaching and facilities. Plus access to better standard of living.

That's incorrect. We have so many pursuing cricket, even girls. Cricket nowadays is expensive to pursue. Coaching in the academies, kits. One good bat is 15-20k rupees. Because cricket is seen as a career these days. Many of these other sports are not.

Many people of Indian background in South Africa , carribean .They look the same as your typical desi. Their diet and lifestyle hasn't been able to change their genetics.

It takes many generations to do that. Look at how average height of Americans, Europeans are increasing every generation. American men went from 5 7 to nearly 5 10 in around 60 years. We are where Americans were in 1950s

I like @Kron, always optimistic about India. But sometimes he takes it to the extreme, almost like delusion, being positive is ok but not this much.

It'd not delusional when it's true lol.

I have seen real life experience of such things.

People really under estimate the number of physically strong/athletic people we have. Many will be surprised. It's not a surprise for me.

Eating meat clearly isn’t the issue.

logical fallacy.

A -> B does not mean B -> A

all great athletes eat meat IS NOT EQUAL TO eating meat will necessarily make you a great athlete

it's like saying

all great basketball players are over 6 feet IS NOT EQUAL TO all basketball players over 6 feet are great basketball players

A -> B though means !B -> !A

all great athletes eat meat IS EQUAL to not eating meat will mean you are never a great athlete

similary

if you are not over 6 feet you will not be a great basketball player

Pakistan and Bangladesh are also third world countries eating unhealthy meat like beef kadhai etc.

Athletes need lean protein - chicken, fish etc. All world class athletes have them. Some rich ones like Kohli can substitute with veg alternatives. Not possible for vast majority of people.

Ultimately not consuming chicken/fish is limiting the maximum potential of an athlete.

Come to the school my daughter goes to. You will see kids over 6 foot and plenty of them. All mostly Indians. Not aussie. Indians.

Afghans are pipsqueak. So many short midgets.

I play soccer with many of them in mutual. They get bullied all the time.

Yes, it's also about risk and reward and also popularity. It's also same reason celebrities advertise products. 1983 world cup win have rise to cricket popularity. If we regularly start winning in other sports they would also see new talent wanting to come in.

Blacks lol

Only black slaves that were tough and strong survives. That's rhe only reason they have gpod athletes. It's not about genetic superiority.

That's not true , many upper castes eat meat also Muslims, Christian, atheists do the same. But it won't change genetics, you can see this even in Pakistan or Bangladesh.

Also meat is opposed by the left in western countries for climate crisis and animal abuse. If we have western level of meat eaters then it will opposed by animal and climate activists.Restruants, shops, consumers will be attacked by them.

Also most Indians over seas of first generation carry their own diet there. So many veg restaurants in Europe now and the trend is also starting in America. Heck sarvana bhavan is one of the largest chains in Europe.

So the number of people adapting to foreign diet is less and even in that they will take couple of generations to see effect.

We have so much knowledge and science about nutrition today in 2024, there is no reason for people to still spread myths about veg diet is the best and top athelete can achieve on a veg diet

It's not just height, things like fast twitch fibers, athletic ability and iq are not easy to change.

Diet has 100% been shown to increase size, height and strength over generations. I just gave you the example in 1960, before the industrial revolutions complete effect,  the average height of Americans male was 5 7, not much different than the countries you mention. With better diet over generations today it's near 5 11.

We can "afford" to turn vegan etc when the country is richer and healthier and has many options. Most people in India don't. Eggs are one the cheapest and best sources of protein

That's genetics, that's why they are good.
