Praveen 06 Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Team india need one left hand batsman in top3 to win icc trophy 2002 - Ganguly (shared trophy) 2007 - gambhir opener 2011 - gambhir No3 2013 - Dhawan opener 2024 - Pant batted at no3
Sandz Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Rumors that Kohli is practicing left handed for the reasons above. nevada, Norman, Stan AF and 2 others 5
Chakdephatte Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 2023 was better than all these. With top five right handers.
Chakdephatte Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 (edited) It's all about skill. India had three players who could kill sla bowlers for fun in top four- Gill, Iyer, Rohit. Their struggle against left arm pacers is sometimes overstated. He have not struggled against these two, in fact, we had the best average against SLA in the tournament. Clearly, our data driven TM understood this. Edited July 26, 2024 by Chakdephatte
Gollum Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Jaiswal please. How much more does he have to prove himself? nevada and Ultimate_Game 2

Clearly, our data driven TM understood this. Against SLA since 2020 (ODIs), Rohit , Iyer and Gill have very good averages but strike rates are all around 88,89. That's good but not particularly dominant. KL averages 50 and strikes at 97 and is best player of SLA in the ODI side. Kohli has been the worst, averaging 32 and striking at 73. A left hander in that top order is certainly desirable Chakdephatte 1

When Pant comes back, he should replace Iyer. The numbers I talked about were from World Cup. We were the best team against SLA. This is the point.

rosshaden13 Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Hello A left-handed batsman in the top 3 is crucial for Team India's success in ICC tournaments! 2002: Sourav Ganguly (shared Champions Trophy) 2007: Gautam Gambhir (T20 World Cup, opener) 2011: Gautam Gambhir (World Cup, No. 3) 2013: Shikhar Dhawan (Champions Trophy, opener) 2024: Rishabh Pant (potential No. 3) Thank you rosssplunk
