Yep entirely Bhajpao's fault this... Congress would have reinstalled Hasina by now.

Vishwaguru is scared of CIA

Apni zimmedari se bhago aur faltu-giri karo, casteist anti Hindu party walon. GoI took up Hindu safety issue with Bangladesh and with USA , mentioned India's concerns in parliament as well.

Did your favourite party and politician utter a single word? Had there been the other religion being persecuted, he would have been shouting from the rooftop.

We don’t need words from the Indian government and politicians, irrespective of their parties, but action on ground to help Hindus in BD.

To me, Indian govts are usually like empty vessels who make noise but refrain from taking concrete actions.

If I were the PM or someone holding power, I would have:

* Instructed the Indian embassy, which  are infamous for doing nothing and living like royalties overseas, to allow BD Hindus to take shelter, even renting spaces/maidans to accommodate them.
* For those interested in moving out, organized a safe passage for BD Hindus to India by land, water, and air.

Commenting on social media, shouting in parliament and UN means little to those who are fighting for their lives every minute.

This was an occasion where India had the opportunity to display its leadership in the subcontinent.

Indian politics has been reduced to “at least our party commented on this issue” rather than focusing on action on the ground. :((

^i will criticize BJP for not doing more, would these guys criticise their fav party n leader for their maunvrat on this issue? Plus you already know how they would cry from rooftop if other religion was being persecuted.

Their words would have no impact on those facing death at any minute. We cannot hope to win political battles when lives are at stake. Everyone has to work together, and other parties can be criticized if they are putting hurdles on govt’s path.

One should also look to see the actions of governments of states neighbouring BD to see what steps they have taken (irrespective of which party is in power in those states).

Let’s not forget that BJP portrays itself as a party that cares about Hindus, and here was an opportunity to actually help Hindus.

Note that the current generation of Hindus in BD and Pak are suffering because their ancestors did not make the call to move to India (for whatever reasons). These non-Islamic folks in those countries should be given an opportunity to change their destiny.

Pretty sure Congress would never have introduced CAA or any other act to help minorities in neighbouring countries to relocate to India... Speak of double standards of Pappu Congress & his cronies even in this DG

Track record speaks for itself.  Done that in 2009.  Vishwaguru botched relations with friendly Hindu Nepal too in 2015 & has pushed Bhutan into Chinese camp as well.

Never forgive Never forget.

Baaton se jung nahi jeeti jaati.  DNA of BJ party is defensive scared throughout whenever they have come to power.

The concern is what the current govt is doing on this major issue.

As for Congress, the issue is about not taking the initiative to shape BD’s policies, esp. towards its minorities, when that nation was created. India just withdrew, handed over POWs, did not try to leverage the situation to impact the Kashmir issue, and so on.

BJP is expected to do what is required to help minorities in neighbouring countries, which is why people have voted for it. On this occasion, it is not doing enough for Hindus.

It appears as if BJP may have taken the Hindu vote for granted. People have begun to understand that it will mostly do something (may even stir up some issue) on Hinduism when the elections arrive to reconnect with Hindus, and then go back into its shell, do bayanbaji, demonize Pappu or whoever, indulge in corruption, and so on!

PS even in Gujarat, which is a fort for BJP, people are angry. The flood situation hasn’t helped as well. The party cannot just continue to bank on Modiji’s popularity.

They did in 2nd term with the majority they had... CAA or Ram mandir issues. In the 3rd term, its the pressure of the allies and US intervention in North East, one needs to balance it out.

Not when lives are at stake.

If it is worried about its allies then it is more interested in politics than actually doing something for the people.

A political party (or a leader) gets more respect when it does the right thing despite unwarranted odds (and here we do not even know if the “allies” are opposed to anything, and even if they are, people expect a party that has been in power for so long to do the right thing and not worry about its “khursi”).

Done what in 2009? Hasina  didn’t have this amount of CIA backed opposition in 2009. Now you guys are sitting with JeI leaders and blessing the coup along with Deep state. Asked for CAA for BD Hindus in 2004, but seriously opposing it now and even wants to repeal CAA if voted to power along with 370!

I think 370 is never coming back but local Hindus want Art 371 or similar arrangement like neighbouring Himachal... Local BJP leaders are also giving these promises to Himdus. Reckon that will be the token gift given to them by UPA when it comes back to power & state will be flooded with Army as it should be & further groundwork will be laid for recovering PoK to incite a revolution there.

They won't be stupid enough to gift Paxtan a ceasefire when it was on ventilator in Covid.

The damage is so deeply done by current set up that CIA will have total control of Subcontinent in this decade at least.

Complete revamp needed in foreign policy.

I won't mind a peace treaty with China looking at how things are headed.  As of now top leadership of both parties can't be trusted tbh.

CIA has serious dirt on both of them.

What! … On an urgent issue where an action is required from the govt (happens to be BJP in this case), you want people to tell that to Congress (a party not in power)

Please don’t involve me with the irrelevant BJP-Congress stuff! It is for people who play political stooges 24*7.

Political parties are there to serve people, not the other way round!

When Gujarat gets angry, it changes the course of India. BJP is not doing itself favour by taking its votes for granted.

A few days ago, a BJP guy visited my house. Before the elections, he was telling me that BJP would win 400+ seats. This time I gave him a lecture on economics, geopolitics, infrastructure, etc, and where India could do better, and he acknowledged that BJP needs to pull up its socks.

If you are expecting BJP to rehabilitate Hindus of BD, you are far from reality. All India can do now apply diplomatic pressure to treat all minorities well. Modi has already shown conern to Yunus about the state of Hindus inBD. It has not reached a humanitarian crisis like in 1971 to escalate to all all-out war and take in refugees. They can start allowing Hindus when they apply for amnesty (CAA) . With plans of focus on GDP target to be achieved, India will not escalate this BD situation. .  Next is to apply economic sanctions on BD as their economy is totally dependent on India including electricity.

They have not even rehabiltated KPs in India, why do you expect them to do anything in BD now?

Having said that, BJP is the last hope for Hindus even when they don't seem to be doing anything much. Others are that hopeless.

Yes, I have high standards of expectations. Therefore, I am expecting a party that claims to devote itself to Hindus to rise above pettiness and excuses (including bringing the past) to immediately help people who are being made extinct in BD.

The help does not entail making tweets, shouting on TV, banging benches in parliament, talking about UN, wasting time with parties like Congress, etc.

India needs to take immediate action through the embassy in BD to provide a safe refuge which would include harbouring the Hindus at a safe place and providing an immediate pass to those who want to India through air, land, & water.

If India cannot do that there is no point in even claiming Ind’s leadership in the subcontinent.

Congress track record is so bad that I wont even want to take a chance on them..

Agree that BJP needs to improve, but the proportion of ministers/law makers who are well read & have a better education is more in BJP than opposition.. I would rather take a bet on the lot who are well read & have a more rounded view than the idiot who keeps spouting the same nonsense of casteism & reservation.
