Moeen Ali retires from international cricket

 Ali's impact is much more with bat than Jadeja shorter formats.

 

The same thing goes with Imran Khan's batting avg which is higher than Kapil . It is not even close on Kapil playing much more impactful knocks with bat than Imran ever did in any format.

Moeen Ali avgs 25 compared to Jadeja's 35.

But if a team is defending 50 off 5 overs, then we all know who we would rather have batting. Heck, I would be shaking my boots if Jadeja is batting for my team with 25 to win off 5 overs let alone 50.

 

 

 

 

that is a T20 situation. ODIs are way more than just chasing 50 off 5

At the position they bat that's the usual scenario.
Jadeja is good for one thing - if a team is 50/5 he can stay at get the team to 170-180. 
Not someone I would lose my sleep over as opposition. Had a great chance to redeem everything in 2023 final with enough time to play a JADEJA innings.

And how many times Moeen has done that? infact Moeen despite being better hitter never really rose to the occasion in big matches in ODIs

 

Add their bowling and fielding and Jadeja wins easily.

Moeen was a poor man's version of Shakib. However, extremly humble fella compared to the other ding dong. Either way eng was getting rid of some of the oldies, it was always going to be him on the chopping board. Good luck on wtv you wish to do.

Moeen sucked in ODIs for years.  I think he had more impact than Jadeja in T20 cricket though.

Yes only in T20Is hes ahead but without any big match performances there too. Overall Jadeja wins by a mile
