Yeah that's such a lame excuse. The match was already done by that time. Plus the NZ batter got out soon after so the decision really didn't make much of a difference. Even for argument's sake NZ had scored say 10-15 runs less (highly unlikely), they still would've won comfortably by 45+ runs.

 

Indian Women team is learning from our Men's team and this is their version of "30 bad minutes" or "one bad day" or "15 mins of bad luck"

The pitches don't suit us at all and there's a huge luck factor. Teams batting second are likely to win due to the "dew" advantage. This is same as the Modi stadium. And we all know our luck with tosses where we've won barely3-4 tosses out of 16 over the last decade in knockout matches.

 

That's why WI suited as the venue as the matches started at 10am local time and the conditions remained the same throughout. The only way we take out the luck factor is if the matches start at a time when due is not a factor, i.e. day matches. But that's unlikely to happen in sub-continent so we'll continue to struggle.

The only chance is if they slog in the PP overs and score 50-60 runs. But I highly doubt it and expect Eng to win by 20+ runs.

B'desh is doing tuk tuk as if they'll chase at 8+ later in the game. They're unlikely to score anything once the PP overs come to end. They don't have the power game to hit 6s and will struggle to chase anything more than 5+ once the field spreads.

Goswami is the real legend. Those nagging lines,difficult to hit and a handy lower order contributor. Could tonk the ball too. She had that attitude. Harman when she debuted had that killer instinct and was the next big thing. She is past her prime and needs to retire asap
