In none of them he would be able to find a possibility Rohit and Kohli leading us to a win. Jaiswal, Pant and other youngsters will need to show up just like in 2020-21. Kohli and Rohit are only good at making excuses like "30 bad mins", "one poor match", "kabhi toh ye chalta hai" etc. MechEng and Chaos 2 Link to comment

Kohli's reputation is built on bi-laterals. All those chases were in meaningless JAMODIS. When he really had to chase or perform when it matters he folded like a cheap tent. Chaos 1 Link to comment

javier26
Need two more wins in the ongoing series. If the Aussies win less than 2 , then India will surely qualify and might even knock Australia out of the WTC. express bowling 1 Link to comment

deepdynamo
India needed just one more win out of 4 to be in contention of WTC final, if other results reasonably falls their way. 2 more wins in BGT, I would say 95% chance of securing WTC Final. Link to comment

We first need to win 2 more tests atleast in this series though. Shouldn't get carried away especially now that Rohit the fat useless slob has returned to wreck our balance and chemistry from Perth. It should be something like 10 points for away series win, 7 for home series win, 5 for away drawn series and 3 points for home drawn series. Also, additional points for the seeding of the team you beat or drew with. E.g., beating Aus away should get you much more points than say beating WI away. If you don't factor in level of the opponent some of the teams will get easy points just because they had WI, B'desh and SL away, compared to some other team getting Aus, Eng and SA (or NZ) as away teams. Right now the WTC point system is pretty basic and easily manipulated by luck of the draw. Edited Friday at 02:34 PM by Ultimate_Game express bowling 1 Link to comment

Adamant
Sri Lanka has a good team, especially in home conditions. I don't see Australia beating them 2-0 for sure. The recent match vs SA was played on a difficult track and they got the worst share of conditions, even we have succumbed to scores like these but still have won away too. Nissanka, Karunaratne, Chandimal, Mathews, Kamindi, Dhananjaya is a solid solid lineup in home conditions. Australia are not getting past them two times in a row and that too when their batting is in shambles. India just needs to win two matches here and then we are probably going to the WTC final.
