Dangggg gazillion huh :yess:

Even Dr. Strange would give up on these two while calculating possibilities across billions of possibilities across multiple universes. In none of them he would be able to find a possibility Rohit and Kohli leading us to a win. Jaiswal, Pant and other youngsters will need to show up just like in 2020-21.

Kohli and Rohit are only good at making excuses like "30 bad mins", "one poor match", "kabhi toh ye chalta hai" etc.

Kohli hasn't shown up in must win matches against likes of NZ or Pak. What makes you think he'll show up against Aus?

Not when it matters. 2015 WC SF, 2023 WC Fina, WTC Final showed what happens when stakes are high.

Kohli's reputation is built on bi-laterals. All those chases were in meaningless JAMODIS. When he really had to chase or perform when it matters he folded like a cheap tent.

  • The title was changed to India back to Number 1 Spot after the Victory against Australia at Perth

Yeah that's the most favorable final for us. But the likelihood of them beating South Africa away and Australia at home is highly unlikely.

They're a very inconsistent side

they have a solid batting now with kamindu.

their sa matches are not at the highveld plus stronger aus teams failed to win in SL so who knows.

We first need to win 2 more tests atleast in this series though. Shouldn't get carried away especially now that Rohit the fat useless slob has returned to wreck our balance and chemistry from Perth.

Home and away wins shouldnt get same number of points.

Yup. It should be something like 10 points for away series win, 7 for home series win, 5 for away drawn series and 3 points for home drawn series. Also, additional points for the seeding of the team you beat or drew with. E.g., beating Aus away should get you much more points than say beating WI away.

If you don't factor in level of the opponent some of the teams will get easy points just because they had WI, B'desh and SL away, compared to some other team getting Aus, Eng and SA (or NZ) as away teams.

Right now the WTC point system is pretty basic and easily manipulated by luck of the draw.

Sri Lanka has a good team, especially in home conditions. I don't see Australia beating them 2-0 for sure.

The recent match vs SA was played on a difficult track and they got the worst share of conditions, even we have succumbed to scores like these but still have won away too.

Nissanka, Karunaratne, Chandimal, Mathews, Kamindi, Dhananjaya is a solid solid lineup in home conditions.

Australia are not getting past them two times in a row and that too when their batting is in shambles.

India just needs to win two matches here and then we are probably going to the WTC final.
