Tejas Mk1a is directly proportional to GE 404 that is upto Uncle Sam's wishes.

 

Only 5th engine has come in last month.

It's a national news when we get 1 engine such is the state of affairs.

We dont have any escape from that unfortunately...ultimately the best solution to have the airframes ready and integrations completed...so that at whatever pace engines come...we can assemble them and set the jets flying.

 

The reason we are delaying F414 is perhaps the same...they're hoping a magic from Safran.

While ge is clearly a bottleneck, its one of multiple issues. It is a sort of convinient botteneck to shift blame.

 

In an ideal world tejas would be ready to be rolled out with aesa radar 300km+ astra and a 800km brahmos 2. Enough for 4000kg payload.  This would more than make up for what is barely a 4th gen jet. It would be a cheap n cheerful solution with brahmos 2 tejas would be used to target any part of pak.

 

Got to admire the jf17. A rubbish bird which is cheap made better than what it actually is due to weaponry and network centric tactics. Truly synertgistic in nature where the sum of the parts is greater...

 

If i was an african or south american nation i would pick jf17 anyday.

 

The amount if energy and time spent on tejas makes it a bigger flop than arjun tank. Army realised flaws and aborted the plan with focus on t90mk3 which is a just the tank india needs. With tejas mk2 air force staring down a much much more expensive rabbit hole.

See, There was a episode in Ji Mantriji where the bureucrat tell the minister that Hospital is ready, with staff and everything apart from fact that there is no Doctor. Thats indian Bureucratic way of making fighter jet.

 

No matter what we are offered by whom, I would say get Russian jet engine ToT or French ToT or both first and than make the jet.

Why this happens bro ?

My mind says its coz of trade imbalance...we import lot more than what we export...but there might be other factors as well, like the "tarrifs".

Is inflation in India is under control?

If answer is Yes than team India has achieved a clear decoupling between inflation and exchange rate . Tgey will use this advantage to offset tattif impact by devaluing against dollar.

 

Above is ideal situation and can only last till you don’t need dollar to trade for your Russian iimports

Dont guess. Let me tell you from my personal experience. There are many people who have properties in India do not want to let go. So they want to keep Indian passport. Some just keep it to avoid inconvenience as soon as they get Indefinite status.

 

However Apologies to Punjabi population here in advance but I have seen other aspects as well specially among Punjabis. Second Gen Punjabis marry Indian Girl, bring them as their wife on a dependent VISA and never get them onto Indefinite Status. These women from villages are still with Indian Passposrt and on dependent VISA. Child Husband all are British except that poor women who works like a slave all their life. These guys are grade A Holes IMO. I suspect the women in question in above story belongs to that category

Once you have a green card, you can stay indefinitely yes, but the way the story panned out in the article, it looks like an illegal entry in 1994

In this story, every family memeber is American except the women. Her daughter probably scared of Trump policy applies for her mother to change the Passport. Thats the point I was making. Dont just see it in Black and white. See it in shades of Grey
