IndianRenegade Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Some big orders in the last few days by the Indian side, if Trump had been half as smart has he claims he could have secured some for US MIC. Antogonizingg a paying customer like India for a eternal beggar like Pak. lol

No. trying to get back pok is not a reality. Unless India is willing to endure losses similar to Ukraine by Russia, the population is hostile, the terrain isn't ideal to conduct an ivasion. Long range non contact vectors are how you punish these buffons. pkmmamks 1

Deactivating the Lehru Liyaqat pact and go for 100% population exchange is a better solution that POK. Both sides have to agree for it to be deactivated. Not happening

Our guys were too hellbent on being responsible. As if anyone gives a crap about that nowadays. We already showed them that we have a strong stick. There is no use in further escalation. Modiji , as always, proved to be a pragmatic leader.
kepler37b Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 (edited) The international relations, i believe, must be based on long term strategic interests and cultural proximity. I would go on one leg and say Hindu India has more in common with West than China/Islamic block. I quite agree with the hypothesis put forward by Samuel Huntington. Glad that Nikki Halley ma'am is thinking sane and standing up for us . That sambaar raamaswaamy is no where to be seen to defend us Edited August 23, 2025 by kepler37b

Sorry to say this, but the moment even one soldier/civilian of ours get hit, we will start crying with the placards of "want peace not war". Govt naturally will succumb.

An incompetent like Nehru was choosen as our PM..who completely neglected our borders. 1965 till 1975 is where we gained a lot of ground. Though in between Indira did another blunder of releasing 93k jokers without taking back any other Indian POV. 1975 onwards till 1992 was another dark era in Indian geopolitics...until PV Narasimha Rao and later ABV took it above.

Russia has attacked on US factory in Ukraine and has accelerated the war intensity. Iran is again giving threats to Israel...China is gearing up for an assault on Taiwan. Brazil & Canada are openly pushing back US. Not a good time for US's global reputation.. He has chickened out on the immigration as well, coz US agriculture industry was suffering from lack of labour force.

The divided population can never be an effective fighting force.

Managed to take majority of Kashmir.. UK and West had practically gifted Pakistan GB already as it was part of the Great game being played. It took nearly 2 years of fighting to get that remaining land back. Further offensive involved cutting supply routes to mountainous GB which was easily accessible to Pakistan than India (still is)... Post winter of 1948 in Spring of 1949 only option left was attacking Pakistani Punjab to cut the supply routes and risk an even bigger and longer war. Folks in PoK were Pro Pak already so there was no point. 1962 was a blunder but Nehru wasn't wrong to maintain good ties with China. Even he knew India can't afford two hot borders. This is exactly what Modi G India is doing even right now. History always looks flawed in hindsight. Future generations will curse this one and cycle repeats.

Chinese goods are hit by port fees and other things which make their true tarriff rate closer to 50%. Even this mail thing will hit likes of temu and shein and other ecommerce sites. If india had signed the 20% deal our exports sectors would have taken a hit. Only solution is india needs to diversify export markets. ravishingravi and coffee_rules 2

That too mostly services and now oil which are exempt.

Yes i know, but we need to rev up our exports for growth and lifting people out of poverty. South america is like a black hole for indian exports.
G_B_ Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 And for what its worth inflation in the usa has not spiralled as many have suggested. We will know the true impact of these tarriffs by end of year on American headline inflation rate and revenue for budget. We will know impact on manufacturing in 3 to 4 years time. That is, how many manufacturing jobs are created in the usa. If trump can create upto 5 million manufacturing jobs that can support pax 20 to 25 million people (direct family and indirect jobs) with a trade off of upto 5% inflation in q4 2025 and q1 2026 then he has the right to be called a visionary. This is despite how he has treated india. Nagz 1
G_B_ Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 On the flip side trump may have crippled/severely dented the khalistani movement with his freeze on trucking visas and need for English for drivers. I sort of agree with him though, you need to learn how to read traffic signs in English. Its a huge safety hazzard. Nagz 1
