nsareen Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) WOW thats some achievement against KERELA who are not pushovers!! Who else has done it in a first class match ? Edited November 15, 2024 by nsareen
nsareen Posted November 15, 2024 Author Posted November 15, 2024 After his 8fer in the duleep trophy, he has a knack of taking wickets in a heap it seems, maybe good for english & swinging conditions.
nsareen Posted November 15, 2024 Author Posted November 15, 2024 Why cant he be an option for Test cricket, not sure why the selectors select individuals in T20 basis their First class spoils.. It's been a habbit of selectors to pick the players in contrasting formats.
deepdynamo Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Perfect for 'certain' England and NZ conditions. Wish he could bat though.
Ultimate_Game Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Could be a handy bowler for overseas tours or when ball is doing something. Should be watched closely and maybe add him to the team setup.
Ultimate_Game Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) @nsareen change the title of the topic to "Anshul kamboj takes 10 in an innings in a first class match". Right now it looks as if Kamboj only took a 10-fer in the match, and not pick up al 10 wkts in an innings. 10/49 off 30 overs is some serious bowling and control. Rest of the bowlers conceded 0/242 and Kamboj took 10/49 at an ER of 1.6 an over! Edited November 15, 2024 by Ultimate_Game rollingstoned, Vijy, nevada and 3 others 4 2

Lord Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 still a mediocre trundler. We all saw him in Emerging Asia cup tapandrun, Vijy and express bowling 3
maniac Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Bonafide Trundler. However he is supposed to be allrounder but have not been impressed with his batting either. Bigg Brother 1

Ultimate_Game Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Yeah, looked at his stats and I wonder why he's termed as an all-rounder. His batting stats are pretty poor and he's a genuine tailender. But if he becomes an all-rounder and start contributing with the bat, could be a useful player for the team, i.e. someone who scores 30 odd coming in at 8 would be quite handy.

If he becomes a genuine bowling all-rounder in the Deepak Chahar mould, there's use for him. But I'll still take him ahead of Avesh Khan. Now the selection of Avesh Khan is a mystery to me and how he gets in despite being hammered everywhere is a genuine head-scratcher.

Hopefully Avesh has played his last game for India. and yes unless the bowler is very reliable, he needs to have some batting ability. Ultimate_Game and tapandrun 2

bouncers Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 What is his avg speed?? 30 overs in 2 days if injury free can be a workhorse.
Ultimate_Game Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Just now, bouncers said: What is his avg speed?? 30 overs in 2 days if injury free can be a workhorse. Plus accuracy. Bowled 30 overs over 1.5 days and conceded only 49 runs! You need bowlers with such a discipline who can pick up wkts with the new ball. tweaker and bouncers 2

tapandrun Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) Nothing special rt. now about him, run of the mill line and length kind of bowler. But wont be surprised if picked for Ind in coming future. This kind of bowling is liked in Ind cricketing system. Are they calling any1 and every1 allrounder these days ??? -- think this is some kind of pr going if they are not 140 kmph bowler start calling them allrounder ..... right now only rana is the pace bowler who can bat a bit and hit few 4/6s. Ultimate_Game Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 He's in the same mould as Sandeep Sharma with a bit of Bhuvi around him. If he can move the ball consistently would be a good option for us in PP overs or getting early wkts with the new ball. Can also act as a stock bowlers if he can maintain consistent line & length.
