Too many brain fades

I was baffled by the decision and some podcast host made a point which might make some sense... They knew Aussies would go for the kill once the tailenders are in and sent Siraj to kind of deadbat and hold one end up so that Akash and bumrah can score when the two fast bowlers get tired...then Siraj got out and Jadeja played rash..so doesn't make much sense...if tiring was the issue ..Jadeja should have just defended and let Bumrah defend.

They sent Siraj there as well and he couldn't last a few deliveries. Rohit never admits to his mistakes or learns from it so expect Siraj to keep playing and bat ahead of Akash Deep in remaining matches as well.

Even Rohit should not be so stupid to think that Siraj should be batting at 9. Not sure if anyone asked him this question, there has to be some other explanation. I mean it is pretty clear that Akash Deep is a better batter than Bumrah and Siraj. Siraj should only be 11. He is Chris Martin level of number 11.

 

Even if you made a team of number 11 players, Siraj would still bat at number 11!

That's the beauty of Rohit. The guy is dumber than a brick. And he doubles down like an obstinate child. He already saw Siraj can't do anything with the bat when he was sent as a night watchman in India against NZ. Despite that he was sent at no. 9 here. Don't be surprised if the trend continues as Rohit has shown an inability to learn from his mistakes and make the right decisions.

I wonder why he is so fond of DSP. Rates him very highly as a bowler, as a batter, and as a fielder. And also as a sledger.

Rohit doesn't have the brains to make any changes and he somehow things making changes means he was wrong earlier, and he hates being proven wrong. So we're stuck with the same team even at SCG
